How do you modify just the values of the shields for a single protoss unit and not all toss shields? By Shields I am talking about the shield value that is the value next to armor and attack, not the shields that are part of HP.

Mapping or Modding, In modding, just edit the sheild value in ar3 (for non protoss units, you have to have a certain value for different units (DL the all sheilds mod to get the formular))
In Mapping, go to scenario > Unit and hero settings > unit you want to modify > change the value in sheilds (only works for units which have sheilds in the first place)

Those are the shields that are part of HP, I am talking about the other shield value(the one down next to armor and attack).

there IS a formula, somewhere, for instant upgrade editing with triggers, but I don't remember where...
meanhile, if you want to just change the value in the editor, look up to the menu bar, press player > settings > upgrades > Protoss Upgrades > Protoss Plasma Shields, and edit it to your likin'.
if you're using the original editor, you can choose just a number from 0-3, but if you use any of the new editors you can choose from 0-255.
[edit] oh wait, I saw that you asked to change it onlt to a singal unit, sorry Cedrios, that's just impossible, even with modding you can't do that, you'll just have to use different players for every unit...

Actually, you could always modify that unit's "armor" value and have it work on his HP instead, that may not be what you're looking for though.

Ado is right, that's what I want.
Ok, if it's impossible to do it for single units as opposed to every protoss unit for a player, I have a question.
What if I were to start off the game with these units belonging to a different player, all wih the same shield armor to match what I want, then institute a trigger that immediately gives them to various players, would the modified shield count go away?

just create a map that does that and see yourself, but I think that the shield level will stay the same for every player and won't change.
just go and check it.

Those upgrades (Shield, armor, and weapons) are player specific. In otherwords, you can't get them from another player, neither by the give trigger or mind controlling. Sorry about that.

For the 3rd time, Could I have a triggering question!
No, you can't get what you want. Upgrades are player dependent and change to what the player originally has when given.
