A friend and I are having issues trying to begin a custom game in Battlenet for Warcraft 3. Arranged Teams have the same issue. Apparently, the firewall on my roommate's router which networks our apartment is causing a blockage to the gameport. Without tampering with the networking of the computers in our apartment, is there a way to fix this problem in the router? As it stands now, it has the wireless option as well, and we have it configured to accept only the computer IP addresses in the apartment. I'm not sure if that's the issue or not, but I know the Firewall is screwing with my gaming experience. Any suggestions?

If this topic has been addressed, simply redirect me to the thread which deals with it. Thanks!

You need to forward a port in the range 6112-6119 from the router to your computer for both TCP and UDP traffic. This shouldn't be too hard to do, and if you can give us the router brand, we can probably link you to their FAQ.

we can probably link you to their FAQ. http://www.portforward.com/ and http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=awr0655p may help as well. I had this problem too and forwarding the port on my router worked for me. Good luck :)
