View Full Version : i got a question
hi, i was wondering if someone could answer a quick question i got
i recently bought wc3 battle chest and i wanted to get my friends into it. Problem is their cheap and dont want to dish out the $50 to buy it. So i was wondering if i let them use my wc3 (origonal) to install it and they were to just buy frozen throne would we still be able to play online with froze throne, because we would have differnt cd keys of Frozen throne but the same cd key of the origonal.
if anyone could answer this for me that would be awsome, or if you need me to reword this then just say so
thanks

I don't see why not if you (and only you) are going to be using the FT cd. When he does get a FT cd key of his own, then the two of you can play online together at the same time w/o any trouble, just as long as one of you can host the matches, of course. :)
lol, I did that to my friend to get him to play. It turned out that b.net checks both Roc and TFT cd keys. It will work but you wont be able to play each other or be online at the same time.

It checks both? Wow, battle.net CD checking has improved a bit since the days of StarCraft (where you could have several people using the same key on the same server at the same time - even in the same game!)

Can't you just go in and change the CD key via hex code? Duddits heard somewhere that it works, but never has tired it. He has his own legit versions of SC.

we can count both here. "love" and love. Take Anna Nicole Smith for instance :P Her relationship with the old dude was "love".
My favorite anna quote:
"I'd love it if a man loved me for my breasts" :P
