The font for LXM looks somewhat the font type from the game Wolfpack, the submarine game. I really like the banner, very impressive.

Heh, thanks Dunch :D The font is actually called 'Ernest' and can be found at spoonloads.com...

I'll probably change that because Eros said it didnt look so nice ^_^

but if i must point out something, i guess itll be that it looks too smooth. And if you want to make it looks like a true metal gateway you gotta have more detail and sharpness.

I like it, though you could take off some of the trendwhore stuff, and maybe add some nice 2D lighting? And maybe some sort of slight drop shadow on that grey thing, if you meant for it to sorta 'pop out' from the other background. Other then that, I like it, and go go random walky guy :D.

Very impressive, looks great :) How long did that take you? I started to dabble with Photoshop because I felt I needed to expand my computer graphical design skills beyond Paint, but so far I haven't made much progress :(

it looks a little flat. if thats what your going for ignore this, maybe you could "raise" the white parts at the top and bottom to give a little depth. overall very good!

First, thanks all for the comment! I really apriciate it!

Second, I was trying to keep things a little flat because -imho- the depth/bevell&emboss effect is kinda overused/lame.

Third, I worked about 1 whole day on, including making a whole new render >.< I had to refuse a lot of StarCraft invetations (please correct that) to finish it :p

You should see the first thing I made, it was an avatar to match the Halo sig Sfinx made me, all it was was a white bg, master chief, and the writing "Black Hawk" on it. It was TERRIBLE!
