Countering mass Fiends and Statues

I'm very interested to hear everyone's strategies for countering players who use the over-done mass Fiends and Obsidean Statue strategy. What counters do you guys use when you're all the different races?

Well for me, as soon as i scout and see thats the strat the ud player is going (which is like 85% of the time), as an orc player I decided not to get any air and usually go grunt, catapult, and some casters.....

I suck but for NE I go mountain giants and archers and if I can get to tier 3 I get bears

you can mass wyverns with spirit link, you can go riflecaster, you can go beastmaster archer and dott

lol its possible? j/k get seige like catas with grunts or taurs in teh front, the seige splash will hit most of the fiends and the tausr will keep them off the catas
