Wow, what a storm.
So, all of a sudden, I start hearing rain pelt the roof of my house. I'm incredulous, so I could outside to see it for myself.
And it's raining.
And hailing.
Okay, sudden rain? I can handle.
But hail?
It never hails.
It never even gets that cold.
I mean, what's going on?
And then there was a bit of thunder and lightning, too.
Also unusual.
Hm.
I need to see what weatherman what's-his-name has to say in the morning.
But wow.
I live in LA, FYI.

Perhaps a tornado was wanting to start up and changed its mind ;)

Im sure there is nothing to worry about, start panicking when pancakes start falling from the sky and you have no maple syrup!

When hail occurs, it doesn't have to do with conditions on the surface, but way up in the clouds (where it gets really really cold).

It still never rains here. :P
Weathernman Bob was useless. He talked about the weather now, then they went to some Asian chick "on the field" to hear about last night's storm. Of course she answered all of my questions: How many car crashes were there when it rained? Compared to how many when it doesn't rain? Can I see and hear about two of them? I guess I got a bit of a confirmation when one of their "rain cams" was being pelted by ice, but that's it. You failed me, ABC7.

We had something like that Friday and Saturday night. It was raining pretty bad, then all of the sudden lots of hail. So weird...
It doesn't have to be cold for it to hail. It does have to be cold for it to sleet .
I heard that some places in CA that hadn't seen snow in 15 years saw some the other day.

You will never know what you can expect in Newfoundland. One day, it will be hot and the next day, it will be cold. We get a lot of wild weather in Newfoundland. Some of you should come here to visit. The province has beautiful scenery.:)

Dunchy: OMG! Where did you get that picture of me?!!
Speaking of weird weather... all the trees have lost their leaves and prepared themselves for hibernation here. So it comes as a bit of a surprise to me when I walk down the street the other day for my lunchtime excercize at work, and I see all the trees have brand new shoots and buds on them! It's pretty cool! Maybe I'll take a pic of some of them tomorrow with my mobile phone if I remember.
