Adults would always stare at me when as a kid i would be asked "so...what do you want to be when you grow up?", and i would say "i dont know."

but nothings changed. i still dont know.

lawyer? doctor? (out of the question, now.) architect?

meh, and those are just conventional, well known, stereotyped jobs.
for a while, Gfxdesigner/ animator sounded good, and interesting. Now ive lost that enthusiasm as well. Even though i work a lot with PS and ive started teaching myself basic 3dsm, and hopic to learn more through a course next summer.

i dunno...so i guess i can ask the members who have not yet got a job. what do YOU want to do?

I like to keep my amitions low... not to look too far ahead. There's a quote by Douglas Adams which I think nicely describes how we will all feel in some years:

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

I'll just go where I end up, basically, with some minor adjustments by me to make sure where I end up isn't the gutter. :)

What I really want to do is write screenplays, but I've been brainwashed into thinking that breaking into Hollywood is unpossible, so I'll instead settle for doing research in psychology (which is pretty interesting) by day, and writing by night.

I have no clue what I want to do. Most likely something math or science related (engineering?) because that's what I'm good at. But I have the rest of highschool and at least the first year or two of college to decide, so I'm not too worried ;)

Hmmmm, an interesting topic. I've always been good at writing, and wouldn't mind going into journalism. I think it would be pretty fun to write everyday. But then again, I've always wanted to be on TV, so maybe I'll be a TV ancorman. That'd be pretty coo'.

At the moment, I am working as a software developer for the summer. I have decided that this is not exactly what I want to do. I pretty much sit in my office for most of the day, talking to people every now and again. But there's not enough people involved, so I'm not quite happy. Perhaps it's because I'm doing the wrong project, I don't know.

What I want to do is become a project manager of some kind.

Well, Iam currently employed as a web page designer and i also do freelance Corporate logo design and such....not quite sure how I got here, just got lucky I guess, I also go to university....less that a year until I get my BA in English.

For a long time i wanted to be an art teacher but then i decided i wasnt good enough. the job i actually wanted was a high school band director but no one was supportive so now i shall be a chemical engineer. i have no idea if i'll enjoy it. oh well nothing else sounds better.

Hmm.. I prolly want to do something with computers, must likely Tech Support in a big company (Technician or w/e) or do what ive been doing -- 'freelance' web page design and maintainence :)

The answer for you seems of course to be healthcare. Perhaps an homeopath? Nurse? Doctor Zoidberg? Surgeon? Crazy Genetic Scientist trying to mutate your body to withstand chicken pox? Wah!? Make a cure and sell them for overprize, and earn billions.. Yesh! Who needs ambitions, when you can have money!?

Why not combine all fields? A game avout Nanotech research and geneticly modified soldiers playing with sub-physics? No wait its been done before, damn Microsoft.

How about manipulating the genetic structure so nanotech games play people? No wait its been done before, in Russia game plays you.

Lets just wait untill we are 40 and we have nanotech genetic enhancers to help us with ambitions.
