Making a thread about a PC version of Halo 2 this early is redunant. A PC version, if it will EVER come out, isn't likely to be announced for another year or so. And, even then, it will take another year to convert it.
Sorry, but you're out of luck for now.

i dont have an xbox, and i dont want to buy one for just one game. all i kno is that if/when they bring out a halo 2 for the pc, make sure people cant hack =\ playing ctf on blood gulch where a guy spawns with an overshield and active camouflage on the top of the map with a sniper rifle is no fun. or rather, the only fun is bringing him down every damn time he spawns.
sigh...
I hope they don't release it for PC. They should have never released it for PC in the first place.

By not releasing it on the PC, they're limiting their target audience by a lot. There are probably tons more people who have PC's than XBox's. Besides, a console controller can never match a keyboard and mouse. I have become aware, though, that there are keyboards and mice for the XBox.
Plus PC's generally have a bit higher capability for stuff. Resolution and detail configurations to match your PC's abilities, easier character control, easy joining of multiplayer games. Plus you can have patches and custom maps.

NEVER. And Garrec I find the Controller easier to use than a keyboard and mouse.

Maybe for you. But for those of us that have had less console experience, a keyboard and mouse is a quicker learn and easier to use than a bulky controller where you have to quickly shift and have excellent control over digits that have some of the least natural dexterity.
3 fingers for movement and some actions with the keyboard and a whole hand (essentially) for looking and weapon control with the mouse is far, far more natural. (This is assuming you keep relatively default control settings, of course.)
Bungie/Microsoft would be making a horrible marketing mistake NOT to release Halo 2 for PC, as the FPS audience for PCs is huge. I honestly think them waiting/taking so long to release it for PC is just damn sadistic. Even though I plan to get an X-Box on account of Halo 2, come its release, you'll see me buying a copy of it for the PC just as readily.

hmmmm actually there quite smart see if they released halo only on Pc lots of people wouldn't buy the x-box so if they made halo only for x-box they could make more cash $$$ bunch of smart asses.....

Not true. Bungie left Mac gamming behind ever since Merathon 2. If it were though, it would be for both Mac and Pc.

Halo on a Mac? Now that's a scary thought. As if it wasn't bad enough that they took it to the PC. I'd hate to see the one click mouse interface...

As CODEZERO said, which costs more, and xbox or the game? You forget who made the game, money is a priority.
As for argueing which is better out of PC and xbox, it is just personal preferance (plus the PC people are just bitching cause they don't have an xbox :p , however xbox people have a computer (at least to be posting here) and can actaully make a fair comparrison)
Buy and xbox just for halo 2?! I have an xbox and I still haven't gotten around to getting it, just don't see the point of hyping over it, I mean, it is just a game; a great FPS but not in my top 10 games (though half of them are from the same series, the elder scrolls) I'd much rather waste my money on warhammer.

Nope, it was orignally planned for the Mac. Then moved to Xbox once Microsoft bought Bungie, and rights to a few games.

ps. halo was originally going to be a pc strategy game like an rts almost.
