A friend of mine recently purchased the first halo book: The Fall of Reach
At first I was skeptical, I mean, a book on halo? How good can a book based an such an awesome game be? But... he lent me the book just a couple days ago, and I'm captivated. I mean, Master Cheif's powers in the book, are WAY more overpowering than in the game. Note on the game when you fall, sometimes not very far, without a sheild, you die. Yeah, specimen 117 could easily take that.
So, what I'm saying is, If your a halo fan (which is why you'd be in this thread...), and you haven't checked out the books, you should.

Yeah, I read them. They are pretty good. If you really want to understand Halo, you definately should read them.
And in Halo 2, there is no fall damage.

You should just get an XBOX. It's so much more fun on XBOX then it is on PC. You play the game how it was ment to be played. :)
And I read the books, except for The Flood. That one was just like the game with just a little more detail and stuff. Just seemed kind of stupid to read what I already knew what was going to happen and all. *shrugs*

Well, you still die from massive falls :)
The books are awesome. I suggest everyone at least takes a look at it if you're reading this thread.
And am I the only one who thinks you can jump a lot higher in Halo 2 than the original?
You can jump alot higher in Halo 2..

I'm gradually reading "The Fall of Reach" every time I go to Barnes and Noble to sit and look at books. It's okay, I guess. Definitely not a masterpiece, but entertaining.
