Hahahaha, check this out.

Just so you know, I didn't make that image.
So anyway, discuss if you think Master Chief's face will be revealed somewhere in Halo 2, or anywhere in the Halo series.
My opinion- I think it won't because it kind off is hard to get a face for master chief. Also, if they do, then when someone says Master Chief, I will think about that face, not the green helmet.
It would be kind of interesting if they showed his face.. but then again it would kind of kill it. I mean, he stands out because of his mask and armor.. if they showed his face I would think of him as a big marine.. and besides.. if they gave him a gay face or something he would get made fun of. :P

I hope they don't. Showing his face would make him a lot less mysteriously cool, like he is now.

Jason Jones said in an interview a couple years back that he'd prefer to not show the Master Chief's face, for the sole reason that he wants you (the player) to feel like you ARE the Chief.

Hmm.. I never thought of that, but that seems to be a perfect reason to me.

Yeah, I would rather he didn't show his face. Everyone has their own image of what Master Chief looks like, and revealing his face would only disappoint people.

Yea, the whole mystery aspect and letting the player beleive you're him is more than enough reason to never show his face.

Even if they did show a face, I can't think of anything that could match the character's awesomeness well. I mean, he has this cool armor, and a calm voice. My favorite line is the cutscene when you enter the escape pod on the Pillar of Automn when he says "Punch it." The reason you never see his face is probably similar (though reversed) to how Half-Life is played. Although you know what Freeman looks like from the box, you never hear him speak, and you never see the character you play while in the game. There are no cutscenes, and it never leaves 1st person view. It's some psychological thing to immerse players in the game.

All that and if they were to make a face, the biggest argument in gaming history would erupt over: "They should have done ___________ to Master Chief's face instead of ____________."
It would just kill the franchise to give the gaming world something petty to argue over for all eternity.
That's my opinion at least, take it or leave it.

That face would be perfect for it. :)

Hahahahahaha, that's a nice reason. But in the books, it sounded like he is white.
Maybe he never had a face...
He was a normal child till the age of 6.

He was a normal child till the age of 6.
What do you mean? He just woke up one day without a face?
Mother walks in the room:
"Wake up, it's time for school... OH MY GOD!!!!"
She then screams, faints and falls to the floor.
Father runs into the room, takes one look at the kid, and says:
"Woah... I'm freakin' out."
He blinks, shakes his head, and then turns around and slowly walks out of the room.
After both parents accept the fact that their son no longer has a face, the child is transported to a nearby hospital, and is then transferred to a nearby science institute where he is given back his senses by means of cybernetic enhancements that enable him to see and hear once more. Now that his senses have been enhanced beyond that of normal humans, it was only a matter of time before he joined the military, where he became a perfect candidate for the SPARTAN-II project, and was given more cybernetic enhancements with the new technological wonder, the MJOLNIR battle suit. The Master Chief becomes an idol to all children who have woken up without a face.

Hahahahaha nice story.
But seriously, you would know what I am talking about if you read the book. And yes, master chief always had a face, and most probably always will. Unless of course some retarded grunt runs up to him and throws a plasma grenade at his head. Haha just kidding.

Does anyone have that image of Master Chief's Face being Mario's? If so, Could you send it to me?
Apparantly you see his face if you do some kind of sepcial thing in Halo one, and he looks like a balloon, but such reports are, as of yet, unconfirmed...
Thread Necro...
Might I suggest you search on google for "master chief" and mario?
