Hello, i have just installed halo, which my dad was playing before me. I have played on xbox multiplayer, but i would like to know if there are any tips/hints you want to tell me to help me along the way, and to enhance my playing experience.

Learn how to pistol snipehehe, i believe you just use the sniper to aim, then switch to the pistol. don't move the screen, and shoot with the pistol, correct?

You can prolly do it that way, but I don it the good ol' fashioned way.


Use the pistol's zoom to snipe grunts and elites from a distance.

If you want to snipe a rock that works great, but moving objects that wont help you with at all.

Yeah, just use the pistol's built in zoom. It works more than fine.

Just finished my little stint into Halo (Silent Cartographer)

Pistol sniping is about the only skill that you need in the game (besides rocket jumping, which is extremely fun). That pistol can get you out of some big jams. Although, you may need to practice on killing Grunts to start with, but you can kill an Elite with Pistol sniping. (hard, but possible.)

I Like To Use The Plasma Pistol On The Elite And Then Finish Them Of With Around To The Head With The Pistol.

2: Head shots are king.

3: A fist in the back of the head is a insta-kill.

Always know what's the best weapon to use at what range. Also, don't use the assault rifle at long range if you can help it, it's not as effective as a sharp aim with the pistol.

I am on the mission where you enter the pyramid with the control room on top. And this is what i've noticed so far:

1) pistol sniping is not only awesome, it is fun, as well as funny ^_^ "AGHH they got an elite! RUN!"
2) Halo is the best FPS ever :D

Hey when you get to those big Aliens called hunters try aiming for their neck or their back. A good strategy is to jump behind them and plant a sticky on them.

Also you can just wait for them to melee you dodge turn and shoot em in the orangee part in their back (its unarmored one shot will own em.)

i hate em... you kill one of the mutated elite things... and they'll randomly get up and attack again xD. Y!? BUT Y!?

What?? They are the MOST funnest/funniest things to kill in Halo. You just have to enjoy killing the fat guy, and then inturn he kills all the other guys for you.

I just hate how the carrier forms explode and send a giant stockpile of ammo and guns into oblivioin.. :( The flood give you soo much ammo, but then it's all blown away before you can get it. :'(

Really? Head shots wit the pistol seem to work for me. Cove weapons dont seem to work for me.

Pistol is a waste of ammo and plus its not very useful on the combat forms you need fast shooting or spread.

When facing Flood
Shotgun (Never ever drop this 12 gauge baby) and AR or Plasma Rifle
When facing Covenant any combo works but something plasma other than needler is preferred and a suitable human weapon specializes in your mission eg if u need to kill some hunters, rocket, killing fields, sniper rifle
