Have YOU preordered Halo 2 yet?

I have played Halo a total of two times. And I don't plan on ordering the sequel. It's not that I don't like it, I'm just not into it, or haven't been presented with the opportunity to get into it.

There is a deal on at the moment at a local electronics store: trade in 3 reasonably recent xbox games and $10 (NZ, btw) for Halo 2. Games you can get for $15 each from a trading company, which adds up to a modest NZ$45, when the game will probably be on-shelf at ~$130.

EB games? I preordered the game for a wedding gift for a friend, but then bought him something else (hehe) and keeping Halo 2 for myself, but I only go the limited edition. Silver box and a making of DVD for me doesn't justify an extra 20-30 dollars.

I haven't preordered it yet, but my Xbox is still broken. If I finally getting around to seeing what's wrong and fixing it, I will but it. I have the Xbox Live headset and everything (would have to renew my Live subscription though).

The limited edition is only 5 dollars more then the regular edition, I believe.

Yeah you can, atleast in the Gamestop where I went. It's your choice of what you want.

Nope, haven't pre-ordered it, and I probably won't. I don't have an Xbox, and I'm not about to buy one for one game, no matter how good it is. I really don't have time to play XBL, and I already have a PS2 that suits me perfectly. Halo 2 will be a purchase for me only when it is released for PC (eventually). Until then, I'll play at friends houses, that's really when it's fun anways :)

They said that, but they probably will change their mind. But I don't really care what they do, because it doesn't impact me as long as they release it for XBox.

Games are goddamn expensive here in NZ, and that whooping price is for the no-extras, casual version, so you can imagine how expensive the limited-edition version will be at release.

BTW, I can imagine myself doing the same thing gift-wise, if I got a chance to get Halo 2 early :)

i pre-ordered mine and i did get the limited one. i got it at eb games and all i had to do is pay 5 dollars and that would hold it for me. and the other cool thing i can do is pay a as much as i want until it is paid of. and all i have to do is wait tell nov. 9th and walk in a get it. awsome or what.

Probably, but they also said Halo would never come to PC. They won't walk away from the PC gamer profit, a lot of people who would buy it won't because they don't have / won't buy Xbox (such as myself). Eventually it'll come.

Yeah, it probably will. They probabaly just said that Halo 2 will only be on xbox so that people would buy an xbox and Halo 2, instead of waiting for the PC edition.
