Hey, since theres actually a forum to put this in now, I was wondering, does anybody on WB play Planetside? For those of you who don't know what Planetside is, go to www.planetside.com (http://www.planetside.com), its a MMOFPS. Quite intense at times. If anybody does play, post here and maybe we can get a raid going one night.

I've read a few things about this game and it looks pretty cool. Is it any good? How much a month?

Its $10 a month, and, although I do have a few complaints about the latest patch, is still amazing to play.

I was planning on getting it, but the monthly fee turned me away. I heard it is like Ut2004 on a bigger scale. Is it?

A bit, but you can't just pick up any weapon or vehicle, you have to gain certification in it first. Its a bit like leveling and you can never have everything at once. Plus its alot more rock-paper-scissorish, but brought down to size, everything is either anti-armor or anti-infantry, and there are many specializations for each of those, even though many anti infantry weapons can come with AP rounds.

Looks pretty cool. I might consider getting it, I'm not used to having to pay fees to play online though so my mother might be a little discouraged.

guys planetside is a crazy game. i played bout 1-2 years ago and i gotta yell you... one of the best fps games i have ever played...

at times it can suk and it gets boring... but leading squads, being in organized clans, being part in a 1000 man mass assault underground.... looting dead bodies =D

its a GREAT game. so why did i stop?

Patches like crazy // KILLS my memory // KILLED my comp // but my comp suked so maybe thats why... if you havn't ever experienced this game.. i highly recommend it... but u gotta have a good comp... like 2.5 ghz + and a good net connection... and while ur at it u gotta have a sexy video card =)

I'm able to run it quite smoothly unless theres an indoor 400 vrs 400 or something, and I'm running on an overclocked 866. I've got a decent video card though, so that may have something to do with it, and a good net connection is a must, if you even think about using dialup for planetside, your in for hell.

Man i looked so 1337... organizing mass raids and stuff... but soon lots of the top players left to other games and PS just wasnt the same, so i left too....

man my grades droppped like a m0f0 to that game =(
