So i've been playing the UT2004 demo for a while now, and i want to buy the full version, but i'm under 17 and my mom is a complete pacifist so i have to get aproval from my dad before i can get it. so while i'm waiting to get that, what are the major game-experience-aktering differences between the demo and the full version? is it worth buying the full version? for example, what are "mutators"?

I believe mutators are options that change your gaming experiance, such as low gravity, one shot kills with Shock Rifle, etc.

UT2004 demo is a joke compared to the full version. If you truly seek to dip your tongue into the sweet nectar of the Unreal community, buy full, get the Community Bonus Packs, and let the bodies hit the fucking floor.

There are also extra modes hidden from the demos list, also there are around 12-14 more teams to choose from other then Thunder Crash (Humans). There is also one kick butt veichle that is sorta a semi nuclear blast tank. It is rather hard to explain but I agree that the demo is a joke compared 2 the real thing. Also if your Dad says yes, have him buy it because MOST stores require ID to buy M games, its sort of like buying beer only its electronic.

well DUH. I wouldnt be letting my parents know i was buying it if i was able to buy it myself without a person age 17 or up.

UT2004 has a lot of the stuff you would have seen in UT2003, but adds a lot more as well. The new game type Onslaught is my personal favourite. They brought back Last Man Standing and Assault, and the Assault maps are just plain beautiful. The Sniper Rifle is also back, thank gawd.

I love assault maps....I had a lot of fun even with the repetitive one included in the trial version :) Main difference between the two (my guess) Would be that the "hardcore" players are all using the regular, the sooner you play the "better" players the faster you'll learn the tricks of winning and never dying :)

I used to have Unreal Tournament, and so when I saw UT2k4 I wanted to try it. But when I downloaded the demo it ran really slow on my computer (5 fps was the average). I'm not sure if this is because the demo uses software instead of a gfx card, or my computer is just not good enough. Here's my specs:

Mac Powerbook G4 Ti
512 MB RAM
667 Mhz G4 processor
ATI AGP 16MB (Rage?)

I'm not sure if that's the info you would need on the gfx card (I'm no expert on this kind of thing), but maybe you can tell me if my computer is just to old to play this game.
