In Library co-op, you can get "stuck" inside a closing door (sorry, not very specific), and when you respawn your team-mate, depending on what side they're on, they will be in a past location, prohibited from advancing in the level. Quite strange, but not very specific.
In Assault on the control room, in co-op mode, you are able to, once you reach the first bridge, jump down the ledges to the right. Once you get to the first ledge, one player suicides off the ledge, and the other jumps down to the next ledge. If done correctly, the ledge jumper will respawn the suicider, but die himself (sometimes even surviving). Continue this until you get to the bottom, however you will have no enemies for the whole mission! Presumably, something fails to load, so the enemies do not respawn. How strange is that?
This trick involves the level sidewinder in a multiplayer game or system link.
There are two different ways to get "ontop" of the level
(a snipers paradise :p).
First way: Get a tank from the blue base and stay along the wall to your right until you come upon a ramp that leads up to higher ground. Go up the ramp and turn to your right, right away and back into the dead end that you will see there. When you back up high enough and you get out the tank should stay on a slant. Go and get a ghost and come to the location where the tank is. Get a bit of speed and hit 'A' to lift your front a bit before you hit the
tank (on a bit of an angle) and you should fly into the air and then on top.
Second way: Turn on rockets, 400% health and shields. Go to the RED base and go to the very edge and throw a grenade at your feet then jump and shoot a rocket at the ground, once you get fairly high hold back and you will land on a ledge (keep holding back). Now do the same thing again and hold back and you will be on top of the level.
The second one is very tricky, you need to get timing right and know the right spots to land but it is possible.
Have fun and own your mates.

I can only think of one small trick, allthough it's probably obvious.
On the assault on the control room, you'll come to a makeshift bridge that looks made of rock. There are 2 banshees on it, you'll be right at a save point, so dieing isn't too much of a bother. This will be the first time you can have access to a banshee in multiplayer. Just beeline to the banshee, throw grenades for cover and get in that banshee, you'll end up saving 30-40 minutes of going through the rest of the level, you can simply fly right to the large door near the end of the level, or if you really want to, take out the tank at the bottom of the ravine.
Alright, although I am pretty good at Halo, I do have one very large weakness that I need to overcome.. HOW TO USE MELEE WEAPONS, and get up close to people. I am always the sniper, and when somebody takes my sniper or I run out of bullets.. I usually die quite quick. Anybody have and solutions for this problem of mine?
What combo of weapons should I use? I was thinking sniper rifle and pistol like I usually do.. but what would be best and most effective?

I find that a Sniper/Shotgun combo works quite well. If you MUST get into a close range firefight, the shotgun will make quick work of the opposition, with its large spread, high damage, and quick melee attack. Remember to use your Human grenades in a close firefight, because they explode within a second of hitting the ground, where as the plasma grenades take over four seconds to detonate.
Alright, Does anybody know how to get into that sniper post by blue bsae on the right side of the map?? I really wanna figure out how to get up there but im not to sure.. all I know is that you need a ghost to do it.

Use a ghost to go up the large ramp type thing near the tower. Hold "A" throughout, and then turn right as you're about to jump, then head straight up the rock face and get in the alcove. There was a video on this at HBO, I'll see if I can dig it up.

Yeah, but if you have good aim with the plasma grenades, and you can stick it onto the guy, then it is pretty much a definate kill.

Yeah, he's right. And I think I know where the video is. I will find it soon.
Ok, I found it. Here is one of the videos. I am sure there is another, but I can't find it right now. Here is the one I did find- http://files.mythica.org/halo/ibonk/thetower_n.mov

My multiplayer Halo tips (using a system link, so "Screen-Looking" is not a variable here).
1. Never, ever, ever take a Warthog out alone unless you are in a 1v1 or just playing for fun. You are dead meat, and any half decent player will be able to avoid you indefinitely on the ground. The steering radius of it makes driving over a skilled player supremely difficult, and they'll kill you rather quickly.
2. Depending on the skill of the person you're playing, be careful with the sniper rifle. If they hear four "bangs" and four tracers, they'll run while you reload and you'll never get them. The best thing to do is always shoot in sets of two or three shots, especially if they have cover. If the player is smart enough to be keeping track of such things he'll be at ends deciding whether to run or not. Sometimes you can sneak in the final shot during his indecision :)
3. I have found it to be very ill-advised to shoot at the chest with any weapon. When I first started playing Halo my accuracy was not good enough to aim for headshots. Instead, I took the chest as a larger target, that in theory ought to deal about as much damage as a headshot, realistically. Howver, this is not at all the case. A headshot is often a kill, whereas it takes 3-5 good chest shots (sniper excluded) for a kill otherwise. Use the Assault/Battle rifle and aim for the head, even if you miss half your shots the headshots you do get will pay it off. Same deal with the shotgun.
More coming :)

I shoot for what I can get.. Heads preferrably.

Well, if you have a teammate somewhere with a sniper, you can tell him to cover you, and then you drive around like a retard, but not letting anyone get close enough to get a grenade or rocket onto you, and while everyone is distracted because they are attacking you, your teammate will have an easy time killing off the opposition.

True, I guess that's an exception to the rule. Using a "pull" technique works really well in Halo, and I guess this is a variation of that strategy. If you have a good sniper behind you I guess driving around like a crazy fool would be beneficial :)

Well here are some tricks you may not know.
1. Make your name a spacebar. That way if someone goes over you with their targeting reticle, they don't see anything. (This is very cheap, but it works)
2. Choose your color as something that will blend in well in the map you are playing on.
3. Hide in the shadows. It will work well for snipers.
4. Snipers, don't stay in the "regular" sniping spots in Blood Gulch. Most people know these, so the best way is to stay on the ground. But if you must stay in the regular spots, make sure to move from one place to another, before the enemy finds you.
Sorry for the thread Necromancy, but I thought I might as well get all this information off my head, since Halo 2 is coming soon.
Here is another little tip, when you are playing against people who you know are snipers, try and be blue. Usually snipers are quite aways away from you and since the targeting reticle for the sniper (and all weapons) is blue, it is harder to see you from a distance if you are blue. Your body will somewhat blend in with the targeting reticle.

If you take the invisibility that's right before the hunter room just before this and just run straight for the banshees, you can be unseen until you take off :D
