"Concerning 'The Alamo' Maps"
Ronin) (aka. RoninWarrior)
I've noticed through playing B.net games with Warcraft III: Frozen Throne there has been a growth of different versions of 'The Alamo' maps. Most of which are inaccurate, I myself can only modify terrain and some units. I edited the terrain a little for 'The Alamo Realistic' and made it a version 5.0 because of the new look, I examined the actual map terrain and used it to advantage. Some cheap elements that made the game cheap for the offense (Mexicans) to win are gone, TOMES. There is also a new entryway which will make the game a bit more interesting, Nearly true to the movie except the part that the barricade where Davvy Crocket is supposed to be is at the wrong side, but it's there for strategical reasons, if it was near the gate like it should. That just wouldn't be fair for the offenders, Cannons could bombard both areas at one time. So I left the overall construction of 'The Alamo' intact except for a whole/pathway in the West wall (south wall in the map). If anyone would like to contact me for further planning on perhaps another version of THE ALAMO or any other maps contact me using my SN or Email. If anyone could host the new version (edited what-not) of 'The Alamo' v5.0 it'd be appreciated, I'd love to see it online. It's located for download at www.warcraft.org (http://www.warcraft.org) if any of you were uncertain on where to download hard-core maps. Thankyou and I'll post something sooner or later.
