WL, weren't you just chastizing someone else for reproducing copyrighted info without permission? :P But yeah that "WL" button thing you have on there is awesome, it sounds like really cool technology and it's neat to see it in action.

I believe he's talking about the RSS aggregator. (The blue WL button next to the feeds)

EDIT: Nevermind. I misread it. Are you talking about him somehow stealing the WeekendLazyness icon?

It's not a big deal, I was just saying...:)

Edit: WL's argument is that, due to the fact that it is put into a special .rss format to facilitate the use of "aggregators," the content on websites such as slashdot can be used without legal consequence by these aggregators, and put on someone else's site, without explicit permission.

In the actual code itself, that is, the .rss of slashdot, there is a copyright notice: "Copyright 1997-2004, OSTG - Open Source Technology Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved." On the website in the Terms of Service there is also a notice: "Use, reproduction, modification, and other intellectual property rights to data stored on the OSTG Sites will be subject to licensing arrangements that may be approved by OSTG as applicable to such Content." To me, it is fairly clear that slashdot reserves all rights, and will issue licenses in the event that they want their content to be reproduced on another website.

Anyways, we're just bickering. :P The whole aggregation concept is really cool, and it looks great how you implemented it on your site. The overall design is fairly user-friendly, although the graphics could be prettier.

Stop not making sense, hammock.

Anyway, any more C&C?

I've never seen anyone anywhere ever complain about this. I think it's safe to assume that there's nothing illegal about syndicating a published feed on a personal site. I even tried to find something online about this being illegal but found nothing.

Its hard to red the blue text with the blazin' blue background. :P
Although I like the many features of the website. It makes it worthwhile.

There isn't any blue text on a blue background.

But thanks for the comment.

I mean't the text in general, sorry for not being more specific, I have problems when it comes to that. I don't know if its me, I just have trouble reading the sites content.

Haha, thanks ZDS.

And I'm not going to leave my loud computer on all night. The computer is usually on from 7am to 11pm CDT (GMT -5 hours).

You can't compete with my 40+ straight days of uptime on my personal web server. There has been less than 15 minutes of downtime in the last 5 months.

You don't have to go to bed in the same room as your computer. I also hate you and hope you will die in the near future.

I added a translator to my site (you can probably guess what kind by the URL).

~50 days until this weekend, uptime reset because of power outage :)
