View Full Version : "Spawn more Overlords" along with MPQ Compactor + Memgraft Compatibility

Okay, I have two questions:

1. I'm making an attack beast unit for Terrans (Devouring One) that you can build at the Barracks. One problem: "Spawn more Overlords." I made it have 2 food cost, and since it's considered as a Zerg unit it requires Zerg supply. Is there any way I can convert the Devouring One to use Terran Supply without changing an Unused unit? If that is impossible, please tell me how to do that with the Unused unit.

2. I'm wondering how as to use a Memgraft patch with the MPQ Compactor. I know about the way it works and everything, but I have some files that I need to place in the StarDat.mpq file. For instance, my new title screen needs to go under glue\title\title.pcx but if I put that in patch_rt.mpq it just skips it and goes straight to the mode selection screen (Single Player, Multiplayer, Campaign Editor, Exit.)

I'd like it if SD or BSTRhino could stop by and answer my questions or someone else that I don't know as well that's good at advanced modding techniques.

In Arsenal there should be a tab where it displays the units race... simply change devouring ones to terran and your done

i think for the current 1.11b compatable memgraft, you save your file and then put it in your mpq as custom.mqd. im not completely sure though, i've never done it myself.

King_Templar, also another good modder, has got some instructions on getting MPQs to work with MemGraft 1.11b. See it here: http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?p=96377

Gee, thanks everyone! I come back from my violin lesson, hit refresh, and my problems already answered. :D

EDIT: Great, now I'm getting this error message:

Invalid data file version number rez\CDVersion.txt
Program Version: 17
Datafile Version: 0

Well, for the newest memgraft to work, you need the newest starcraft patch. That is the only reason that that error would come up that i can think of...

never mind... the CD was in the wrong CD-ROM drive! LOL! That was it. Thanks anyway

btw, the Devouring One now has a rank of Commodore. I wonder how I can fix this?

EDIT: Okay, I need to know how and where to put my new TGhFir00.wav to change the Ghost's shooting sound. I also need to know as to where to put my title.pcx for the main screen loading.

Well, in your MPQ, just duplicate the directories where those are located. Someone mentioned those directories already, so i won't bother to repeat them.

Change the sublabel number under the Staredit tab in Arsenal 3.
