AqoTrooper, I think you're refering to the wrong game.

DesertEagle: Hi, welcome to WarBoards. As for WoW being singleplayer or not, it is, in fact, a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). This means that you can only play it online, on servers in no way affiliated with B.net. You have to pay monthly, so that staff working on the game earn money for patches, etc. So if you are looking for a single player game, I would not suggest that you buy WoW.

WoW is Online only, hence the Massively Multiplayer Online part of its genre. Sorry, but this game just isn't going to come out single player :(
