it bugs me when a unit starts out with more than 0 armor, yet it is displayed as having 0 armor

hover the cursor over the armor icon of a unit, and it might say something like 0 + 4

in sc2 it should say FOUR

for example

without upgrading a carrier at all, it will have 4 armor...but it will say 0 + 4...i think it would be better to jsut say 4...

Bad idea, that would make it harder for the enemy to know what upgrade you have reached. And you for that matter. If it just said 4 you would be like..How the **** did he get 4 upgrades? as where is says 0+4 you see that he is stupid and hasn't uped at all but the units itself has 4. Nice thought but not very practical...

As soon as it begins upgrading then it will show the + thing. IE: Level 1 armor= 4+1 /Level 2= 4+2 etc. I personally find it very importent to have a base value to work from as it generally helps with (in my case) the upgrading of my units.

thats actually what they used in starcraft beta, but it just looked to cluttered so it was taken out.

I agree with Topace, cause i like to know if i need to tech up to avoid getting slaughtered by upgraded units. :D

I upgrade only if I can afford it... upgrading attack is much more important, thing about zergling rush with 6 zerglings that each have 5 attack, now imagian them with 6 attack.

The numbers are fine the way they are. They show how many upgrade levels you have researched. If it shows a "2" then that means you have upgraded to level 2. I find this a useful reminder if I can still upgrade higher. But if you really want to know the exact stats, you just hover the mouse over. It's no big deal.
