The world of warcraft beta was only in the usa, but what about people like me over on the other side of the atlantic eh!

Unfairness? You have the European Beta available to you now! (Or at least you did -- I guess you missed out on signing up then.)

Anyway, in a way I'm happy that I couldn't get the Beta (me being in NZ and all) as it will add to the enjoyment when this fascinating game goes retail!

The stress test is only to test their server(s) for a week. No reason to bother with worldwide servers when all that they need can be found in North America. Not to mention that playing isn't the greatest thing, it's more for their benefit than the testers.

Of course Euro retail will be a while after American retail (inside info ^_~), so they'll still have to wait ;).
