One thing I think that terran should have is the ability for wraiths to do a barrage. It would require some limiting factor, either like the vult mines where 1 wraith can only barrage once (also need to be upgraded) or perhaps it could be an energy thing where it takes 200 energy.
The barrage could happen linearly or affect a radius. Because lets face it, one thing humans know how to do is bomb the crap out of places. It would be nice if that was a specialty to terran - bombing runs. Of course wraith would be good pick because they can be destroyed so it wouldn't be too unbalanced depending on also the damage and size of the barrages.

Strafes? We're not talking about shooting at ground troops. We're talking about full out _bombing_ them. Technically, every unit in Starcraft has one weapon for ground units and one for air (except for marines, hydras, dragoons, and all the units that can only attack one way). I think it's a very cool idea, gives a cool terran strategy. Another possibility is if you could load bombs onto dropships and just... drop them from those (though, that might be an unfair advantage). I dunno. It's still a cool idea.

I think that the idea of letting them strafe is a good idea. as I posted in the terran upgrade thread recently, I think it would work best if you did this by switching modes like a siege tank. this would help to keep it balancesd, as it would now be open to air attacks and be unable to fire back.

mabye it could be a valk thing where valks change between bombing ground and missile-ing air

hmm... good idea, but I think it might be more helpful to use it with wraiths. their ground attack really sucks. however, the idea of switching modes with a valk does sound intriging...

The Wraiths changing to bomb mode would be good, because they have high speed for hit and run bomb attacks. Maybe I'm just biased towards the Terrans, but I do think it's good.

Wth have you been taking during X-mas? That eggnog should've been 'spiced', that's for sure. :rolleyes:
To the best of my knowledge in regular SC (not modded), those are a few of the ground shootin' both ways units'... Without messing with spell casters, that is.
Since this is the SC2 Theory area, I won't rub it in any further.

Back on track (topic),
The barrage power seems a lot like the Afterburner skill that appeared in SC's beta test stages. It gave an awesome unbalance to the game itself (towards Terrans) that it was 'kaputed' no time flat. Thus I don't agree with it.

And if you wanna know it was a Valk ability similar to Stimpacks that allowed'em to move faster. The result was that beta testers used it to do invincible (or almost invincible) Ovie hunting after punchin' it's button. y not just make a brand spanking new unit called the bommer where u click and drag the bombing run and have it like a reaver where every say 5yards(scaled to starcraft measurments) would be like 10 minerals?

bombs = splash dmg rite? terran already has da tank n da valkyrie they dont need any more annoying units..

how can u say that. the zerg have two, devour and lurker, the protoss have three, sair, archon and reaver. its a totaly different thing than jsut a regular splash damage unit. and its something that humans have used for hella days. it would be dumb to not use it.
