Hi everyone!

I have been practicing my web layout design. I think this is the first time I've really been proud of my design. Please, could you have a look, and tell me if its missing anything, whether the colour scheme is suitable, and if there's any improvements you think could be made?

Looks good. It's kinda fancy, yet has the little cartoony guys. :)

Also, please remember, the website that I did the layout for is non-existent. Everything is made up, I just did it so that I could practice my design.


Yes Dark_Soul, I drew the cartoon guys just for fun. It worked well surprisingly. I really like the brush tools a whole lot more now.

Yeah, way to go, BST. SC.org would need a new layout anyways, so it's good if you are practicing web design.

I like it -- but the black/yellow together with some white is really hard on the eyes.

Very nice, BST. I particularly like the top "Banner" of sorts, with the text. Looks very nice :)

lol, thanks guys. Especially to Myst, because that was the sort of comment I was hoping to get. I'm glad you like it, but I'm sure there must be some places I can improve, and to improve faster I need someone to point out to me how to improve.

Unfortunately the rest of the personal website isn't built yet, so when you 'click to enter' you get taken into one of my web programming projects. An encryption program, in case you feel like sending secret messages to friends that no one else can read without the right password.

Am I the only one who thinks the trailing stars are a little weird? I mean, they're magically delicious, but come on...

Heh, I spent ages programming them lolthan put something else instead of stars... like... yellow small pixels shining around like from those cartoony magic wands.

but seriously... those stars did spooked me...

anyway I can tell you that for those 3$ I know than my eyes are 100% ok.

Very nice BST.
the overall design seems to flow and the color coordination is rather good. Except for one thing that the poll on the left hadn side of the page seems to be like too little font in too large a white space . It seems to conflict with yor overalldesign theme.
<sigh...that's my weekly 2 cents>....hopefully i can spend more time next sunday on WB ^_^
