Yo ppl,
As you can see my name is killer-penguin...after frantically searching around for the n00b forum (so i wouldn't make an a$$ of myself by posting in the wrong place) i came to the conclusion that there is none...which strikes me as odd but w/e...
I come to you after hearing about y'all all the time at...er another place. So i figured i'd check it out...someone convince me why i should post here again plz...

Hi, and good job for searching for a noob forum. Your the first one to do so because most just post their threads randomly. Like a computer related thread in the Warcraft forum, and a thread asking for a signature in the RP forum. Nice quote you got there.

Why should you post here? Not sure but you seem pretty cool, and if you like Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo, RPing, or working with photoshop, you will have fun here. Even if you didn't, I think ou still would have fun here.

Warboards is not just a gaming forum... There is an Intellectual Roundtable forum for serious discussion. There is an Entertainment Compedium for creative works that you've done, including drawings and poems. There is a Tech Annex in which you can discuss or ask help about computer and technological issues. There is an RPG forum for text-based RPing.
And of course, there's the Member's Lounge, for almost any topic, while you wait for your coffee to cool a little :)

But if you absolutely-positively can't find anything that suits your needs, check out the Warboards IRC channel.

How is the RP forum..one of the main reasons i decided to check you guys out is that i heard a lot of the old RPers from BF made the switch here. Also, although i may have missed it in the FAQ...what is this little dot beside my post count? And why does it say im on a distinguished road?

The RP forum is pretty good. Though you should ask one of the RPers themselves such as Geno, or EnderWiggen or anyone else. The little dot next to your postcount is something called Karma. You get some if you make good posts. It doesn't really count for anything but it is a way for you to know you are making good posts.

Click your User CP. If you have any, it's gonna show up there.

2 options:

1. Go to User CP. It's right there, along with your last 5 Karma messages.

2. Click this icon http://img.orgnetwork.com/wb/buttons/reputation.gif on a post you've made.

It'll tell you how much karma you have.

Im was reading that thread they posted and it said just press your own report good post button and you'll be able to check your karma....

I would suggest then that you make the thread where you explain what karma is, stickied...because i even searched for an explanation to the karma dot before i asked what it was. It seems sensible to me that if there is an abundance of posts wondering WTF is karma, you should make it easier to find the answer. Also, i'm still confused as to why there is not a seperate place for n00bs to post. It seems odd to me.
