This photo is from 1994 so my house isn't even in the picture. I think construction on our house was completed in 1995. We are at the very end of the cul-de-sac. In the photo on the left you can also see the neighborhood pool, tennis courts, and the pond in the top-center.

My dad has access to all of the USGS maps and aerial photos of the entire state of Virginia, at his work, including ones much more recent than this. But this is a cool online link I found, so

The area is more developed now than it was 10 years ago. If that map were clearer there'd probably be a cow standing where I'm sitting right now. Sprinkle a few more houses and a church around the map and you've got my area.

a round wall has a larger inner area for a given perimeter.....therefore a circle encloses more land for the same cost, so it was a money saving thing really.

circular towers on castles however were designed to repel cannon fire....a losing battle really i mean, wall vs cannon shot is only going to go one way.....down

trust me, I live in Britain...we are up to our tits in castles over here :P

Looks like the Norway photos are much better quality than the US ones. But I guess covering all of the US is a bit more challenging than covering Norway, =P.

That tactical air strike was taken out by the citizens of Elbonia. The strike consisted of drawing what it would have looked like if the citizens of elbonia could afford a plane and a bomb, and the bomb ran on microsoft paint.
