How many don't have BW?

I do not have Brood War and I'm glad I don't. Vanilla is so much better. Not to mention the gameplay on bnet is a lot more friendly (less hackers cheaters etc)

My favorite is to play SC Shareware on Bnet. If you've never done it you have to try, it's fun. ^^

Why SC Shareware? Just play regular TvT, it's the exact same thing. When was the last time you've seen Medics or Valks used in TvT?

I have both but when I play multiplayer against other people then i'll play BW. But if I am just messing around with some friends playing computers then we play the original. The computer AI is alot better in the original then in BW.

BTW, Hammock, why is the original called Vanilla? Never understood it. lol

It's called Vanilla, because Vanilla is the original/plain flavor of ice cream, and BW is tasty like ice cream, so uh yeah :P. I really don't know why someone wouldn't play BW :(

I like BW well enough (especially the rare occaision i get to play an uBeR-NuBeR and use dark templars to pwn their whole army) and i think it makes for better gameplay...but i tend to play vanilla with most of my buddies because most of us dont use the expansion units anyways

they should call bw chocolate since sc is vannilla...or maybe chocolate is too much of a contrast, i mean it is still the same game, maybe call it vanilla with chocolate swirls...yep, that'll catch on, just u wait.

SC shareware b.net is fun, though I haven't played it in years. Back when I played it, the beauty about SC shareware b.net was that the players were so innocent. They actually thought "20 mins no rush" meant you wouldn't rush. There were a lot of squishable newbies, although sometimes you'd get a kickass player out of nowhere. Getting your ass kicked by someone you thought was a newbie is humbling.

Once I played BW, I couldn't play without it. If I'm Terrans (VERY rarely), Medics are all that keep me alive. Lurkers are basically my fav unit in the entire game, and Dark Templar my second. NOTHING gets past me when I have Lurkers or DT, and with Medics I may live longer than ten minutes.

Brood War RULEZ.

I think ppl who don't have brood war has a similar reason to why I got Diablo I only. I never really got around to buying the two other disks, because there's really not much new stuff. Let's look at this in another perspective: BroodWar has 7 new units, 5 new heros, 3 new upgrades (not including the ones for the new units), and different campaigns. Well, I guess not many people would think that they need to spend another 11 bucks for just those things, when they already have all that they needed.
