My question for all of you is, where did you get your WB nickname? Is it a name somebody called you one time, or just something cool you have thought up? I wanna know.

I got my name because it's my last name.

Rhino came from a drama class where we had to act like we were an animal that started with the same letter as our real names. My real name's Ray, so the first thing I thought of was Rhino. I wonder what else it could've been. By the way, call me Ray if you run a PM by me or IM me, BSTRhino sounds real strange to me and sometimes I go "who's that?"

BST -- when I was 11, I joined an online programming team/clan sort of thing called Basic Sages of Tomorrow. Then they had presidential elections and things and I somehow managed to become the leader so I decided to put BST at the start of Rhino. I must really like project management or something, because now I'm doing the same thing with the Starchitects and probably one day I'll be SCSTRhino hehe.

I think I actually wanted EarthDragon (combining my favorite element and mythical creature) but they didn't have that and had to settle on GrassDragon. Well, mine's quite a long story. I'll sum it up in a brief few paragraphs. Ye see, when I was like twelve or so, I joined SC.org. There if found like tons of fanfics. woot!

So I kinda got inspired and wrote my own fanfic SERIES :P
The main characters were Zeltaris, a protoss Templar, Aerdethor a Judicator and Zharos, a Dark Templar. I never really got around to submitting them, because I tried ter submit them as novels. :P So, it gave me this annoying php error message or something and I decided to quit.

I forgot about the fanfics after that, but I never forgot the storyline. So, when I joined Bnet two years later, the name "Zeltaris" kinda popped into my mind and I've had it ever since :)

Heh... I also remember the ethymology for the name :P Xel'thaeris. In ancient Protoss, 'Xel' means wanderer and Thaeris means... ummm... damn... I can't remember

I have three names I use with any regularity, so I'll provide a short history behind each one:

AmericanPsych0: This was the first screen name I used at my first forum. To be honest, there was no real inspiration behind it other than I'm an American and back then saw myself as a very hyper kid. It was one of those names that came out of staring at the computer screen for thirty minutes and just thinking of what my screen name could be. On a side note, while I usually despise using numbers in a screen name (ie bobthebuild9956), I didn't mind with this one. I guess it just looked similar enough to an O. Or it could be my love for 1337. Or I could just be a hypocrit.

Shinigami: This, I'm pretty sure, can be attributed to a girl I fell pretty hard for when I was in elementary school. I met her online, never face-to-face, and as far as my innocent little mind was concerned, we were good friends. Enough about that, though. She had a screen name containing "Shinigami" in it, and I guess I just sort of picked it up from there.

Purgatory: It's just a word I love the sound of. I remember that it was the name of some battle ship in the anime Rurouni Kenshin, and that was the first time I had ever heard it. Thought it sounded catchy, so I adopted it as one of the few screen names I use. This isn't the first time I've fallen for words simply because of how they sound, so it's hardly something that's really uncommon for me.

I got my name from the starcraft unit. Usually my names is darkdragon902, but that is because most usually names are taken. When warboards was created, I had my chance to have a name without any numbers on the end. I could have used darkdragon but that was very common so I decided to use Battlecruiser. I chose to use battlecruiser instead of, say a marine or zealot because first of all Terran is my most favorite race. Then I though about my favorite unit in terrans. I liked the marines alot but in the end I decided battlecruiser, because in many of my games my battlecruisers were the ones who made the final attack to win the game.

I got my name because it's my last name.well, a long time ago theres was some kid who lived on a small island WAY off the west coast of the US. That kid had formerly used his name and initials online, and it got quite boring after a while, so he decided to chose a new one. Being the creative failure that he was, he started a contest to come up with a new online ID for himself. No body helped.... the best names were....well I can't even remember them.... No body could think of anything.....exept one....the crazy one....ok not crazy but really creative.... that one was......well that one shall be refered to as the creative one. The creative one came up with tons of ideas, all of which this kid on the island rejected. and then there was microbyte............... and because the creative one insisted that there be a color in every online SN, bluemicrobyte was born!!!! from that day the kid was henceforth known as bluemicrobyte

then one day, POOF! bluemicrobyte came to warboards!!!!!

My name has gone through so many different incarnations...

When I first started I was 'sstards9' on AOL (lol), this was a sort of homage to Star Trek and Deep Space Nine (still one of my favorite shows).

Even on battle.net I used that.

After a UMS game where I cam close to massacering everyone a guy named Sniper recruited me for a clan...

Anyways, from that point on I started using a name similar to NeoStar (at the time it was [FF7]-NeoStar) and simply used it forever. A few weeks after joining I helped to found a newer clan centered around Final Fantasy in general, and started using FFF-NeoStar, or something similar. Anyways as time wore on the name kept getting shortened to Neo, which I didnt mind. So eventually I just switched to Neo (FFF-Neo, even had a chat bot named NeoBot :P) and such.

Anyways, it was around then I found Blizzforums (well actually I found Legacy and Org and lurked for awhile) and joined with 'Neo' Since then I have always been... well Neo. :)

When I first signed up here I took my battle.net and applied it to here, Kupa (from Kupatrix, which is a story in itself) and Neo. Which was KupaNeo. After awhile I decided to shortena nd change it (I didnt want to be KupaNeo anyways, it was always temporary)

So... I chose NeoX after seeing ShawnManX really :) And people still call me Neo for short, which is nice :)

I do remember a time I tried to switch usernames, I went through a period where I used Atma, and thats why my Aim name is AtmaNeo to this day :)

Oh and I would like to add... The Neo part of NeoStar did not come from the Matrix, and even it being shortened to Neo didnt come from the Matrix. It was simply friends and I shortening it. Over the years I have played on the connection in chats, and even signatures (see my matrix one XD) but it never really meant that. For awhile I was 'The Digital Master' (my Signatures from Cloud says that) which was related to me always designing, and finding hosts for a forum and site I ran for my clan, or friends in general. Today thats why Kupatrix kinda exists ><

PS: Ever wondered why I sign my posts... pms... emails with '-Neo' ? Well I am not sure why. Its simply something I started to do, and it relates back to an early forum I had with a clan where signatures werent allowed (didnt really exist at the time) and it soon became reflex. Kupatrix is really rather easy...

I decided I wanted a domain name, and it takes sooo long to decide on one (Since every .com is taken)

So I started playing around with Neo and such (like NeosDesigns, NeoSite, even NeoMidgar based of an old idea)

Anyways I started playing around with Matrix things, and was like NeosMatrix, Neotrix, etc... But then I wanted it to I dont know... Have a FF ring to it, so I added Kupo to my list of possible names, but I didnt wantt o infringe on Square...

So I combined the two Kupo and Matrix and it became Kupatrix!
