Quickly Louis catches Mary. How strong and beautiful she appeared, but so very delicate.
Louis: Are you alright?

Mary grabs at her head and tries to ease her pain. She must've been knocked upside the head to be feeling pain like this.
"I'll be fine.....It's only my head....Thank you." Says Mary.
She tries to smile in Louis direction but she finds that quite difficult. Trying to change the subject, she looks at Louis himself.
"So my Lord....Do you live down here?" She asks.

Louis helps restore the Queens balance, and leads her through the dark labyrinth.
Louis: Live? Not exactly I'm a wanderer just passing through. This seemed like a suitable location for me to spend a day or three in. Oh, you know your guards let me right in? When and if you reclaim your throne you might want to step up security.

Mary looks at him confused. The security of their castle should be fine!
"I'll make sure to tell King Henry when I see him again...."
All of a sudden Mary remembers something--Catherine! She'll search for her with no rest. She is her bodyguard after all.
"My Lord Louis....I have a request.....My most trusted servant....Catherine. She has served me all my life. I cannot leave her to wonder where I am! Surely she'll search for me non-stop. We must contact her!"

(I wonder if Sub will make a move anytime soon?)
Louis: How exactly do you propose we do that? Assuming she is still alive and not being ravaged we are pinned down here by these unknown warriors. <pause> Ah here.
The corridor opens up into a large room.
Louis: This is the main burial chamber.
Louis grabbed some tar, oil, and flint stones that were stored down here, and began to light the torches that lined the walls. The torchlight made a great stone sarcophagus visible in the middle of the room. The firelight illuminated his pale face, and shinned of his jet-black hair. As he lit the last torch his green eyes pierced the ghastly glow and looked toward Mary.
Louis: Besides, I can't leave here until nightfall.
A slight groan escaped his lips as he brought his fingers across his wounds. Most of the blood was dried, but he still had a gash on the side of his neck, and several stab wounds.
Louis: And I need to heal.

Nayah gummed at the chunk of apple he had in his mouth. He wasn't shot at, due to his innocent appearence, but he quickly slayed any who crossed his path. He noticed a group of warriors who seemed to fare quite well against the other warriors. An archer, a swordsman, and some lady that was apparently smacking people over the head with a sword. Nayah started on his way to them, perhaps the encounter would prove interesting.

Queen Mary's eyes filled with compassion as she saw Louis wounds. On pure instinct she instantly moved to touch his neck gently.
"You're hurt!" She exclaims.
Mary looks about their surroundings for anything useful.
"Do we have anything down here to tend to that?" She asks.

Louis: These wounds need not be treated. I merely need to feed and by the end of the night not even a scar will remain. But, now I wish to show you something.
Louis glides over to the sarcophagus.
Louis: This is the tomb of William a great warrior king, and your great great grandfather. Legends say that he had an enchanted sword that could pierce the strongest armor or the finest mail in a single stroke. One such as myself cannot scoff at such legends.
With a mild effort Louis flips the lid off of the stone sarcophagus. The thud echoes through the maze of catacombs.
Louis: Brace yourself and come look.
The skeletal remains of the once great king sit in his rusting armor, gripping a sword that looks as though it had just been made.
(OoC: Okay if both Sub, and PC99 or going to be off I’m going to put a pause to this dialogue since I really don’t feel I can appropriately play the Mary character. Guess not to much can happen with BH gone aswell.)

Nicholas (he was riding home; check post 235 if you need a refresher) entered familiar territory, land where he had played as a young squire to a knight long since buried on some forgotten battlefield.
"Is that smoke you see my steed?" he questioned softly to his horse. His ears twitched but, unused to its current rider, did nothing else but snort and paw the ground. "I feel your frustration nameless stallion. I can almost feel Mary's hand again." Nicholas clutched the saddle almost imagining the feel of her smooth, lusterful skin brushing against his once again. And such dreams he knew would soon become reality.
He snapped out of his stillness and kicked the horse towards his father's castle. The current worry now was that troublesome smoke. It was thick and billowing very near where the castle grounds. Nicholas hoped nothing wrong was happening but a deep dread was beginning to well up in his stomach.
As they crested a hill, Nicholas knew that just over the ridge he would see fully the magnificent white-washed walls of his home.
Then a thunder of noise below him! He rocketed his steed forward and crested the knoll. Shock washed over him and he barely steadied himself short of falling down. Now the screams could be fully heard. Ear-piercing and blood curdling shrieks of mayhem as his loyal citizens were being chased down and slaughtered.
Anger filled Nicholas at the sight. From the horizon was the sun, slowly setting in the color of blood-red illuminating everything with it's crimson glow. He snatched out his sword and charged down to defend his homeland.

Catherine smiles at Geno. She was just gonna change in the forest with them present cuz all she had to do was slip her dress off. For underneath she has a small suit of cotton and leather armor. But if he wants to be proper, she'll oblige.
"Okay, I'll hurry." Says Catherine as she slips behind the cloth curtain.
Catherine unbutton's her bodice and throws it against the wall. She grabs the end of her skirt and pulls it up over her head. It feels soo good to take all that itchy fabric off of her legs. Posing as a lady-in-waiting got boring after a while. It is finally nice to be free.
As Catherine removes her laced corsett, her real clothing comes into view. Not too shabby actually. She has another corsett and bodice on, this time it is a brown color. She ties her hair up into a loose bun, with her golden blonde hair still falling about her.
(OOC: Wow, I just realized that for the first time in a long time I'm playing as two white girls, lolz :p)
She grabs her sword from the floor and sticks it in it's hilt. She then walks to the curtain and moves it to the side. As she makes eye contact with Geno she smiles.
"I'm ready! Let's go save the Queen....."

Queen Mary frowns slightly.
"Take the fire from his veins...?" She thinks. She looks over into the shadows where Louis lies.
"My Lord Louis, please explain what you mean......" Says Queen Mary.

"So where do you think the Queen is?" asked Neal as he looked around. He noticed one man slowly coming in their direction, an apple in one hand the other on the hilt of a sword. "On second thought, I don't believe we will be saving the Queen just yet...
"Hello Stranger" said Neal as the man came closer, "anything we can do for you? Try to make it quick though, we have something to do." Neal's fingers were slowly flexing and gaining a better grip on his sword. His mind told him to behead the man where he stands, but he overrode it and made himself wait, the man wouldn't dare attack the three of them altogether.

Queen Mary looks down into the sarcophogi and gasps. She had barely been born when her great grandfather died. She was told that he was a great king and died of old age. Just glancing at his grave made her heart flutter.
She looks up at Louis.
"Why are you showing me this....? I wish to focus on the living....Not the dead....." Says Mary as she slowly inches away from the resting place of her great grandfather.

Louis: Focus on the living? How shallow, the dead hold all the secrets. ("I should know." Louis thinks.)
Louis gently takes the sword from the old warrior.
Louis: It would foolish to discard a useful tool, just because it reminds you of your own mortality. After taking a quick inspection of the blade Louis thrusts the blade into the stone floor. with a slight crack of breaking rock the swords sinks into the stone.
Louis: Interesting, but may not mean anything with my strength.Louis hands the sword to Queen Mary.
Louis: This blade is not ready for the grave, it has far more blood to spill. This is your history, and your legacy. Take it up and sew the seeds of a new kingdom.

Kravic (orchestrator of Queen Mary's kidnapping) rushed through the deserted halls of the ruined castle with his ever present companion whose knights were now roaming the plains around the shattered walls beyond the moat. He must find Queen Mary. Even though she wasn't entirely neccessary to the overall picture, finding her alive would greatly speed the processes.
"Perhaps down this hall Lord Kravic," whispered the small man in precise tones. Raw power emanated from his compact body. A wide-brimmed hat covered most of his face into shadows while a long trench-coat, unusual that it would worn in such a time and place, gave no hint to what weapons he might have beneath the cloth. Kravic, a good heads or two taller than the former, glanced down the motioned passgeway. He nodded his head and rushed elsewhere leaving the small man to himself for a moment.
Returning with four heavily armed men with red armbands, Kravic made some orders, "Keep your eyes and hands ready knights. You were trained by the best swordmasters in Prussia and taught the finest techniques in France. Show your skill now against this unknown opponent. No fear, no mercy."
He shook out his own sharp blade and proceeded down the hall with the rest following behind. A few torches held by three of the knights lit the way forward.
"The stench of death is strong here," remarked one in a soft voice.
Another replied at the same low volume, "Aye, what we seek surely lies down here in this place."
"Quiet!" said Kravic not moving his eyes beyond the oval of illiumination provided by the torch-bearers. "Get out your swords," he hissed, "There is light up ahead!" The knights got out their weapons, two swords, a scimitar, and a short sword with a round shield. The small man didn't move from his spot in the far back of the group.
"Extinguish your lights!" ordered Kravic. It was done and the corridor fell into darkness. Now the light up ahead could clearly be seen, a hazy orange.
"Move forward!" They got within twenty feet of the entrance and suddenly Kravic saw the Queen standing next to some man, dried blood around his neck and face. At the same time, their quarry noticed them. Another passage was at the far end of the large, circular chamber. A sarcophogus was in the center, open revealing a gleaming sword clutched in the aged hands of some noble king. Envy and greed suffused through Kravic. He had to have that sowrd!
"Capture the Queen!"

(OOC: Aww crap--And it begins! lolz :p)
Queen Mary quickly turns her head to see a whole handful of men yelling and running in their direction.
"RUN!!!" Cries Mary.
She clutches the sword tightly to her side and runs as fast as she can with Louis right by her. She has no idea if he's a warrior or if he can fight, but she's not about to take a chance.
As they run throughout the catacombs, she says to him pretty much panting, "Can....Can you fight Lord Louis??"
Doombringer64
06-23-2004, 10:23 PM
Louis: Just run on ahead, I'll take care of them.
Louis dropped to his knees and waited. He couldn't believe the morons who pursued him in complete darkness. Sure enough the four blind mice piled on top of each other as they tripped over Louis. With inhuman speed Louis snatched the guard with the short sword and round shield. Giving into the beast he violently sank his teeth into the guard’s neck. He dragged the man back as the others scrambled to their feet, and re-gathered their weapons. Louis quickly finished his snack and let the guard’s limp body fall to the ground. Already, Louis felt his wounds sealing, and strength return to him. The others squinted to make out their foe through the dark. Louis picked up the short sword and hurled it like a javelin, impaling the guard wielding a scimitar. The guard’s screams echoed through the catacombs. Louis approached the last two who seemed to be ready for him. The first guard swung his sword aiming for Louis's jugular. Louis caught the sword in his left hand, and then backhanded the guard with such strength it shattered his skull. The last guard charged. With unnatural speed and reflexes Louis caught the final guard’s wrist in his left hand, and grabbed the man's face in his right.
Louis: Time for an example.
Louis dragged the man by his face down the corridor. The guard struggled with all his might, but he could get Louis's talon off his face. Louis brought him several yards from the main burial chamber. He smelled two others, one with a whirlwind of emotions coursing through his blood. Louis threw the guard. The guard sailed through the air right into the burial chamber, and impacted the far wall. A sickening crack was heard as every bone in the man's body broke. The crack was followed by a splat as the man's skull shattered like a melon against the wall a moment later. The man's body dropped to the floor like a ragdoll.
In a low supernatural voice Louis called to his other visitors.
Louis: If you need something done you have to do it yourself.

(OOC: Good job with that part, now to wait(some more) for Geno and BH...Worst comes to worst, I will control them, but I really hate to do that...)
(OOC: Um... Right now, I'm totally lost. I was gone for nearly 10 or so pages, and that's when I lost it. All I know, is my character was somewhere around the castle, then I appear near the queen, save her, and all of a sudden Doom is right next to me. First, I thought he was a bad guy? Second, how the hell did he get here? I read over the pages, but I only got more confused, as my characters were never mentioned, and I just appeared near the queen. Take control if you want, but when I say 'Someone can use my character' I would really prefer it... When I'm gone for extended periods of time, just make my character do things, so I know where the hell he is or something... This 'Appear from nowhere' isn't exactly great.
And I know, I should have been more active, but with me now making more money than my parents, my car recently breaking down, tons of bullshit going on with my parents and myself (I'm only 17, but thinking about moving out early for this shit), and a lot of work related complaints, It's kind of hard to fit in time when it's going on. A lot of it's smoothing out, but there's a lot still going on. Anyways, take control if need be, but I just totally got lost now, and feel as though something has either been skipped over by me, or I just jumped into the wrong part of the story at the wrong time...
~Larry "Geno" Meyers
P.S. This is in no way me resigning, this is just one of those 'What the hell happend' kind of things... And I know you can turn to me and say 'Well, you're a better RP'er than that, go read', but right now, I don't have the time to read nearly 15 or so pages that I've now missed (10 until I got back, 15 from now back to when I last made an in char post that mattered...), expecially since I am concidering moving out of my house due to some bullshit that has been happening. If you want to know the extent of it, hit me up on MSN, PM me, or something of that nature. You know my names/e-mail, but if I don't tell you, don't be offended. There are people I will tell, and people I won't. By now you should know who you are. As for now, give me a heads up in this RP by PM or something... But meh, I'm tired. I need to catch up on my other posts... Sorry, but a rant for me is helping. Takes out rage and frustration of the days...)

All I know, is my character was somewhere around the castle, then I appear near the queen, save her, and all of a sudden Doom is right next to me. First, I thought he was a bad guy?
Sounds like you read very little of the story, try dropping the cliches.
You never saved the queen, in fact it is explained very clearly hear.
The attackers let up suddenly on their opposition as a detachment of archers stepped up to King Henry's four guardsmen across the open room. They pulled back their bows, arrows cocked and ready. A man stalked across the cellar basement footsteps echoing on the stone floor. His armband, though red like the others, had the symbol of a snake grasping a lightning bolt on it.
The defenders stared resignedly at the ten bows pointed at them as they dropped their swords onto the ground. Ten bows twanged piercingly in the silent atmosphere as the swords hit the floor hollowly. Four bodies crumpled to the ground accompanying their weapons.
"Open that door," the authoritative figure barked out. Two men hastened to comply taking the keys of the guards' bodies and undoing the various locks on the door. Grunting, they opened it and Nicholas stepped out into the milky twilight of the cellar. A few lanterns illuminated the carnage of the previous battle.
A group of men with red armbands stepped around him and carried away the Queen upstairs. Nicholas stepped up to the obvious leader of the band,
"I trust there was no difficulty in you breaking down the castle's defenses?"
"No. The defenses broke like so many twigs."
"Good. Shall we exit?"
"Indeed. I will meet you anon at our previously determined destination."
"Agreed. I'll see you there Kravic." He followed and walked with the rest of them back up the stairs. At the top of the stairwell, Nicholas separated from them and made his way back into the castle interior towards the top where several important papers that would be useful for his father would be located at. Pausing in front of a mirror, he made sure that his appearance was spotless of any blood and considerably disheveled in case he ran into any of the King's loyal followers. He hurried onward consciously aware of the noise of battle beneath him the castle sqaure.
Louis then strikes at a target of opportunity.
Louis crawled through a small drainage hole into the cellar. Hiding in the shadows he watched the men with red armbands take a woman up the stairs. The scent of her perfume made it obvious that she was the queen. He knew what he had to do. Lurking the shadows he followed them up the stairs. Fatigue weighed heavy on him, he didn't have time to be clean about this. At the top of the stairs the men entered a long hallway illuminated by torches and decorated with red carpet and suits of armor. As the men entered this hallway Louis exited the shadows and grabbed a long sword from one of the posing suits of armor. The guards quickly whipped around. Louis charged them and slashed guard one's throat. The others drew their swords and began to hack Louis down. Despite being tired Louis easily cut them all down. Louis grabbed the one who held the queen by the neck and snapped it. His injuries were more then fatal to a normal human being. He would have to feed to fully heal. Quickly Louis hid the bodies amongst the suits of armor. It would not take the guards long to discover what happened, but a little time is better then none. Gently Louis gathered the queen in his arms.
Louis: Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Louis rushed over to the door and ducked behind it. He could hear someone coming. Nicholas and several others came through the door. After the last one was though Louis carefully slipped through the door and back into the shadows.
He took the queen through the drainage hole. Descending through a twisting maze he took her into his temporary haven, the catacombs.
Louis: Sorry precious, but there are no soft beds here.
Louis set her down on stone floor, and waited. He knew it would not take long for Nicholas to find out what happened, and unlike Henry he wouldn't fear to come down here after him.
Perhaps the source of your difficulty is that you have forgotten PC99 controls two characters; Queen Mary, and her servant Catherine. While you failed to save Mary you did save Catherine.
Geno sees a young lady running across the paraphets, going through doorways, and fending off bandits. She looks as if she's a castle dweller. He believes it in his interest to help her. He yells at Neal, and takes off in a sprint. He finds the woman aganist the wall, and notices her take off again. As she nears a corner, three bandits are waiting to ambush her. He readily pulls an arrow from his quiver, and takes aim. He fires a quick shot, impaling one upon the other. The third bandit in the line is only pierced, but not dead. He removes himself from the arrow, and takes off around the corner. He dashes at Geno, only to find himself sliced in half by the young woman! Thank god she caught on after he fired the arrow. Geno noticed Neal catching up, out of breath. He begins to talk with the woman.
"Young lady, are you injured? I am sorry to frighten you, but you were about to take off into a deadly situation."
Catherine looks upon her rescuer. She smiles but her smile is cut short by a huge rock which is on fire coming straight at them.
"JUMP!!!" yells Catherine as she pulls the man to the floor with her. The huge rock lands against the castle causing the wall to crack and chunks of rock to fall extremely close to them. After waiting for the debris to settle, Catherine grins--She loves danger.
She holds out her hand, "Hello--The name is Catherine. I thank you for helping me, if you'd like, I can return the favor--I'm one of the Queen's handmaiden's and I'm heading in her direction right now. I can take you away from this place if you'd like...."
As Catherine finishes her sentence, she sees a few bandits climbing over the walls, swords drawn, evil intent in their eyes. She looks back at her rescuer who looks at her as well.
"Looks like I'll never get back to the Queen...." Says Catherine sarcastically. She draws her sword and stands to her feet ready to fight.

Neal slowly sheathed his sword again fairly confident the boy meant no harm. Something was odd though, Neal could swear he had seen the boy before, maybe a day back when the fight started. He couldn't remember but something felt odd about the boy, none the less he trusted him for now.
"Well, firstly what is your name young sir?" asked Neal politely. "Secondly do you have any relatives that live around here that we may drop you off at or lead you too? A battlefield is certainly no place for you and even the surrounding area probably isn't safe either."
As he waited the boy's response Neal looked over the surrounding area, nothing seemed amiss. The forest was quiet and tranquil, totally the opposite to the area on their right where the battle was still raging. He could see nobody except a hint of death in the distance as he could see some of the villages house's were on fire; some of the owners, or who he presumed to be the owners, were sprawled on the ground in front in their own puddles of blood.
Tragic for the boy to have to be here to witness this, his family is probably similar to one of those; bloody corpses lying by their house, innocent. It seems the innocent always pay for what others have done.

Louis drew his knife before re-entering the burial chamber. Kravic was there a little unsure what do. Hidden in the shadows was Louis's other guest. With a simple flick of the wrist Louis threw his knife into Kravic's nameless guard.
Louis: Now we are alone.
Louis untied his tunic and offered up his breast. In a rage Kravic gladly took the offer. He charged and plunged his sword into Louis heart. Louis grabbed him by his throat and lifted him high into the air.
Louis: Forget what your false prophets have told you.
With that Louis slammed Kravic down and pinned him to the ground. Then using two hands he forced the struggling man's mouth open.
Louis: Don't worry I won't damn you for eternity, but I will curse you for life.
Louis let his bleeding heart drain into Kravic's mouth.
Louis: Yes I know it's like nothing you've ever tasted.
Kravic stopped struggling as Louis continued to feed him until the wound finally sealed up. Then Louis let the man up, and handed him back his sword.
Kravic looked at him in fury. He wanted nothing more then to strike the foul creature down. His knuckles turned white clutching his sword. He hated the beast that stood before him, yet a love creeped through his veins preventing him to strike at the tormented soul. In the way an addict loves his dealer Kravic loved Louis, and he hated Louis all the more for it.
(OoC: For those of you who are a little confused it's time for a brief vampire lesson. Vampire blood is very potent; hell it can revive the dead after all. When consumed by a dead mortal he will return to life as a vampire. When consumed by a living mortal that man or woman becomes an unwilling, or very willing, servant to the creature that feed him.)

Louis: Introduce yourself.
Kravic: Kravic, Lord and lady.
Louis turns to Mary.
Louis: Our new friend as agreed to help us out of this castle. <Turning back to Kravic.> But first I need to know, sparing the politics, what is the name of the Queen's abducter. Who's blood boils with passion.
Kravic: Nicholas.
