The .exe's you should be able to just double-click on to use, unless you are using the files in something else.

I don't know anything about .cwd's, but I think that they are only version 1.07 or less compatible.

You need to have the compatible StarCraft version for the CWD file to work. A lot of the EXE files available are just CWD files that can run themselves. Again, you need to have the right version of StarCraft for it to work.

The most likely version is 1.07, so install that and the EXE files (if they're just CWDs in disguise) will work fine.

To run CWDs, you need to download StarDraft and use its patch loader.

The other thing you can do is get an experienced modder to convert the CWD files to MPQs, which is what we use now with StarCraft 1.10.

I wish I could explain more, but I need to sleep now...

I beleive that to run exe files that were made when with stardraft you need to
1. Download exe2mpq
2. extract files from the mpq
3. and maybe...put them into a..winmpq archive or something, mpqcompact it then use mpqdraft to run it.

Ive never done this before because im haveing troubles locatein' some programs, but its worth a try.

(if im wrong someone please correct me so i know as well =)

Black and green?
For text? There is invisible, when, on a black background, will look black...lol. There's also grey, which is kinda hard to read, almost black.
Green does exist.

As for player colors, you need a special SCM editor to do that.

Please specify your question. I have no idea what you're talking about right now.
