Anyway I'm making a (dun, dun, dun!) movie using starcraft ((If you've Played Starsmarts or Starcraft TV, you'll know what I mean)). I've gotten some of the names down...

Short Answer: The lead ruler of the Zerg. The big enemy of the game.

SPOILERS

Long Answer: Of the 3 races in StarCraft, only 2 are important to us: The Terrans (humans) and Zerg (Starship Troopers-ish aliens). The Terrans are ruled by The Confederacy, which is evil. Arcturus Mengsk and his army (which includes a human general named Sarah Kerrigan) decide to take down The Confederacy, and they discover a way of using the Zerg to help them.

In one mission, Kerrigan is babysitting the Zerg while getting ready to unleash them on The Confederacy, when the Zerg jump the gun and attack Kerrigan.

Kerrigan is not killed, but infested (basically reborn into the Zerg swarm as a Zerg). She climbs the ranks of the Zerg and becomes a very psychically powerful fighter.

Once the leader of the Zerg, the Overmind, died, Kerrigan took control of the Zerg and led them in the fight against the Terrans and the super-advanced alien race called the Protoss. As of the end of Brood Wars, Kerrigan is winning her war.

There are no universal goods and bads in Starcraft. There are no "teams" either. That's the beauty of the storyline. It's divided into six episodes, and the player plays them all from different points of view.

I: Kerrigan is "good", as she helps you topple the "bad" Confederacy.
II: Kerrigan is now infested, although still "good", as you now are playing as the Zerg.
III: Kerrigan hasn't changed sides, but you're now playing the protoss, so now she's "bad".
IV: Still "bad".
V: Still "bad".
VI: "Good" again, as you now play on her side.

Thinking of Kerrigan you have to keep in mind that there are two versions of her. Kerrigan as she was when human, and Kerrigan as she is infested. The infested Kerrigan (episodes II-VI) is pretty much everyone elses enemy, the major troublemaker, the cold hearted, viscious and poisonous Queen of the Zerg.. The human Kerrigan (episode I), however, has a very small role relative to that of her infested counterpart.

But I don't think this movie will conform to the SC storyline, so we may see a different Kerrigan here than in the original SC.
