The Heroes of Might and Magic series has consisted of my favourite games of all time, despite my disappointment of the fourth HoMM game (the most recently released HoMM game).
For those of you that don't know what Heroes ('Heroes' generally refering to all of the games) is, it is a turn-based strategy game, in which you can employ up to 8 heroes who lead armies of mythical creatures into battle, and who have attributes, artifacts and skills which aid your armies. Heroes are extremely important, as a good hero will influence your battles greatly, and they have to lead armies into battle, unless stationed in a castle's garrison.
You usually begin with one castle, which you can construct buildings in once per turn, if you have the correct amount of resources. The buildings vary in many ways; from populating your army, to providing your hero with spells, to generating income. Your heroes have a set amount of movement, which they use to battle wandering armies, control resource mines, gain skills, and much more, located on the adventure map. There are multiple game types, from conquest, to finding a specific artifact, to killing a specific enemy hero.
That's just the basic outline of the game :p
In short, it is a brilliant turn-based strategy, in which you battle opposing factions' heroes and castles in battle.
So anyway, are there any other people who enjoy this game as much as me, on Warboards?
