Hi, i'm new to these foreums and i just want to figure out how to watch replays that i've downloaded. I have a winzip to decompress the file, but that doens't even work. I want to know how because when i click the unzip it saids theres an error and i need to download it again, because it might be a defective file. Anyway I also need to know how to watch the replay. Do i transfer the file to the game or do i just watch it in a quicktime player? I would really appreciate it if someone would explain it.

you need to unzip it into /starcraft/maps/replays if it is compressed, otherwise you can just load it with starcraft

it might be .rar, so you might need to use winrar to decompress it. i believe it is at www.win-rar.com (http://www.win-rar.com)

you watch the replays in starcraft, either in single player by going to 'watch replay' or in multiplayer by simply selecting the replay as the map you are going to use

And remember 2 place those files inside the replay folder that's located within the SC directory folder. ;)

Although this is one of an hell raising from the (thread's) crypt, I'll try to help ya none the less. :P Next time, just start a new thread about it. (More than one month old threads should be left alone to rot... or pretty close to it.) ;)

1st of all, you'll need to have your SC-BW patched (http://www.blizzard.com/support/?id=msc0411p) to at least the 1.08 version. That one started with the replays feature. To use these *.rep files you must place'em in the "replays" folder inside your SC directory.
Then open your SC-BW and head yourself onto the single player area. When at the campaigns screen it now should show ya a new button to load replays. From that point onward, it's fairly similar to picking a map to play with. :)
