I'll start this thread off by first saying that I have been told I have a very weird taste in music. It's almost completely random, I will find songs that I like and listen to them a lot, it's quite particular. Often times I'll hear a song by the same band/artist and not like it nearly as much as what I originally heard. Perhaps the one thing about this odd taste that I have identified is that I like music that was new when I was growing up (Pretty much mid to late 1990's. Most anything being played during that time, on a "top 40ish" radio station. My dad works for one ;) ).

Well, every once in a while my dad's radio station (WJBQ, 97.9 in Maine, in case anyone is ever around :p) has a "retro week". This usually takes place during holiday weekends. Well, I heard a song that I remember and like a lot, but I can't put my finger on the title, artist, or anything like that. I know this is a huge stretch, but this seems to have been a really popular song during the time and I was thinking one of the older 18-19 year old members might know this.

The lines I remember: They are scattered somewhat, I'm hoping someone might know it just from them:

"Love me, love me, say won't you love me? Hold me, (something) wanna hold me? Love me, love me, pretend that you love me, leave me, leave me, don't say that you'll leave me, I can't (something, something) anything but you, anything but you.....*instrumental*.

I know it's a stretch, and I'm sure I don't have the lines perfectly, but I was hoping that someone might know what I'm talking about here. I will be severely in your debt :)

Search me.

Love, Me by Collin Raye is my favorite love song though. Check it out. :)

EDIT: Actually, it makes me cry too, damnit. ;_;

Im worse, i really dont have a taste for many pop/rock/rap/ you know, modern songs. I have like 2 cdsof this type that i havent listened to for ages. After that, i like mostly classical and jazz. Of these types i have many more cds. It sucks for me cuz when my buddies start singing a song, ill be like "wtf are they singing about". I think most groups are stupid, and i dont see how people can like hard rock or rap. There are a few pop songs i like, but i dont feel like mentioning them. If im listening to something that isnt jazz or classical, im listening to old groups like the beatles ("We all live in a yellow submarine... yellow submarine... yellow submarine") and the beach boys and the other popular groups that arnt as scary as the ones now....

My taste really sucks....

Aha, I have heard this before.

"Love me, love me, say that you love me.
Fool me, fool me, go on and fool me.
Love me, love me, I know that you need me.
I can't care about anything but you."

The Cardigans - "Lovefool Lyrics"
