Well guys, I'm getting ready to register a domain except first we need a name.

Here are a few ideas to get the ball rolling, I'll give you all a chance to think of other ideas and then we'll have a poll.

1. www.sctactics.com (http://www.sctactics.com) (a lot of people seem to want this. its pretty cool imo but wont really have much to do with the site, just part of it)

2. www.starcraftmania.com (http://www.starcraftmania.com) (simple, cool looking, easy to remember/type and it covers all bases)

3. www.broodwar-central.net (http://www.broodwar-central.net)

4. www.gosu-gamers.net (http://www.gosu-gamers.net)

anything else?

Why post somewhere you're unwanted and where mods that admittedly don't care about the forum are unjustly moderating it? The regulars here at WB have been very welcoming so far and I say we give this place a chance before saying crap like you don't like it after just 1 post :/

From what it looks like 1/2 the people are happy with the current warboards.
And yet another 1/2 would like to see a new site.

As for me... I'm still undecided.

A new site sounds nice. But, you have to remember the costs of putting up a site and I'm not just talking about cash. It cost time / effort in building and maintaining a Web site. I'd also like to see a site were it just isn't forums.

It also sounds nice to stay here at Warboards. They seem like a nice group of people. Plus they already have a site up and running. :P

I personally think it is better to have a broad name than a limiting one like sctactics. We don't have to cover all blizz games just cus blizz is in the title, but at the same time we don't have to cover just "sc tactics".

I don't understand why y'all want to go thru the trouble of creating a new site when this place is perfectly fine. Not only will there be less initial members, but it will draw less new members as well. This place is already established and connected to a well-known Blizzard gaming fansite that will constantly draw new members in. What's the fun in having a forum where everyone already knows everything? Seems to me that it would be an extremely boring forum.

I agree. Everyone here seems to want us.. so why not stay? I've never had a single problem with a single moderator or admin at this forum, and you guys know how I am with staff.

In any case, I like the sctactics.com name because that was always the name of our forum... and I still call it SC Tactics even though twotimer had the name changed to SC Strategy for some unknown reason. But in any case I would like to stay here. Actually, I'll be here anyhow.. it's just that if you guys make a new site i'll have to visit 2 sites.. :)

I am not too big on the theme and layout either, but I have been able to tolerate it for the past 8 1/2 months. It isn't the look of the website that matters to me, it is the company within the site.

There are plans for a darker theme for WB, however the senior staff are pressed for time with bigger projects at the moment.
