L33t_n00b seems like a nice guy on bnet and has changed his ways here, so I'm going to try to keep this thread flame free. He is a typical money map player. Nothing special... I was worried that he was going to beat me after some of his posts here that sounded like he really knows how to play money maps.

l33t_n00b said he is trying to break his money map habbit, and I think everyone can agree that it is limited maps that require the most skill. ^^

Guess I really oughta be watching what I bark at him from now on. I honestly don't even care if he plays money maps, but I just don't like hearing that "money maps are t3h pwn4ge1111".

And the replay... I'll check it out later. I agree that he does seem to be getting better here on the forums.

Hmm... his main problem was that he built way too many Pylons instead of Gateways. He only had two Gateways at 4:00, with a third warping in, compared to about five that Sambo had. At 5:00, he had over 1,000 minerals (naughty!).

If I was going to suggest anything to him, it would be to build lots and lots of Gateways; on fastest map you can support active production from heaps of them. He lost the game merely by being outproduced.

Heh.. yeah.. he told me before the game that he watched my replay and said he was going to get his ass kicked. =/

I played pretty bad that game.. I mean he had some good psycological strategy.. I was all hyped up for the best money map game of my life :) I had like 1700 minerals at one point.. I kept running out of supply.. like I got stuck at 51/51 and then at like 82/82 or something. That KILLS YOU on money maps.. like on regular maps I would've just had 400 extra, and compensated by expanding, but on money maps that gives you 1600 and you're fucked.. heh. But I won, so all is good :)

Just before the end of the game, and even then, it should be speeding up, not slowing down. 0 means he stopped move for a while, granted, his apm didn't have too far to drop in the first place and maybe that plays a key role in that. :P

ima good at rushes, bad at mercylessness. Whenever I was about to kill my opponent, I let him/her off the hook. Next thing I know, they coma a knocking on my door with a WHOLE BUNCH OF CARRIERS!!! Now whenever I play I just stomp them and stomp them good. Never let a spark turn into a forestfire.

Idk about money maps, but when I'm playing a regular game, and I rush someone, I do some damage, and then I stop sending my troops, concentrate on probe macro more and tech and try to consolidate my advantage. I'm a pretty conservative player, and I don't like to use cheap tricks on people, so it's just a play style thing. Sureilldoit will press his rush to the bitter end, and I've seen it bite him in the ass sometimes.. but on the other hand he wins a lot of games outright, that I would have pulled back and taken to midgame.

ok now i actually saw the replay. hmm...l33t n00b still had a couple of gateways and a bunch of minerals. y didnt he make more zealots? he at least would've stood a chance.

Finally I've got the time (n' will) 2 see it! It was about 5 mins.n' am I right? I state this 'cause I don't know in wich version this was played. But u (Sambo) played pro like! I've even learned a few things with that replay... that Pylon grid scheme is a must, I usually have at least 2 Pylons 2 power each, but u had always about 3 or 4 per building (as ur default). :devil:
It seemed that some1 (L33t_N00b) went 'Pylon happy' n' that screwed his play big time... If u concentrated more in defense at least, either 'Lot build or Cannons, it would have done (far) better, I'd dare 2 say... ;)

Nah...I think leet_noob just feel sorry for sambo and let him win. Sambo is a newbie isn't you Sambo ? *LOL* I just ordered the battle chest pack and I'll have them by September 7th. Die Sambo Die......:P
