This might not seem interesting to most of you, but it is to me.

The quickest way to destroy a Zerg base is amass 5 or so battlecruisers:cool: with maybe 1 or 2 siege tanks as support. The hydralisks that the computer sends out all target the tanks, which is what they are there for, to take hits. The siege tanks should survive that, but have them target the spore colonies. Once they are gone, mop up by destroying all the buildings with your battlecruisers (the siege tanks will have been destroyed).

QUICK QUESTION, why are there so many "vs. Computer" Strategies? I mean, start playing Battle.net ;), you'll see different strategies that can easily beat that and even improve on its downfalls ;).

Not only is that not the fastest way to destroy a zerg base, but your strategy completely, totally, and without question, sucks ass.

To agree with Chronic, I could level a Zerg base way before I even consider BCs. Marines/Medics/Tanks can easily take a (computer) Zerg base before either side has the need for air units. Plus, by the time you "amass" 5+ BCs, a Zerg could (and should've) either owned you or at least teched up to Devourers/Guardians. Buh-bye Tanks/BCs...

Definately not the quickest way.. the quickest way to level a zerg base is to send 8 scvs, kill all his drones, then kill his hatchery.

Actually you probably could do it with the starting four (five if you used the 50 minerals on it), but if you don't find his base your screwed...

Need to stop playing computers and real people. You'll soon realize that BCs really aren't a viable unit, nor is massing BCs a viable strategy.

Well, yeah, that's the quickest way, of course...

*goes to hide in the corner with what he thought was a well-thought-out strategy and lets sambo speak*

BattleCruisers are often seen as being far more superior than they really are. I blame most of this on the fact that computers have difficulty overcoming strategies that most experienced players would laugh at.

see if u play moderate zerg user, sinse ud use so much money on bcs, u wont have proper defense
so if u get rushed by 9 mutas and zerglings ud get owned, and if u make bcs, if u have 2 bcs in ur base scourge can ez kill em, bcs are pretty ez talken care of and just go m and m, dont try metal vs zerg unless ur a real good terran player

If I'm Terran vs. Zerg, I tend to go M&M&F with a couple of Tanks.

I remember making a thread sometime back, it consisted of rules. 1 of the rules was, no threads about strats or games vs computers. That thread was unstickied some time back and I was chastised because "everyone knows these rules are common sense". Seems that everyone doesn't know this and we are being overrun by retards.

This forum isn't ready for your rules Twitt... I mean.. even I like to talk about money maps sometimes.. I've played like 30 games on them and never lost, and I think they are somewhat fun ocasionally, and I remember you chastising users for making threads about money maps..

I'm trying to be on your side here, so lets try not to fight on this forum... but from experience here, I think we need to just slowly ween the regulars onto more productive gameplay. I really don't think a "rule" is necessary or welcome. =/

Not fighting, just reiterating my point.

I didn't chastise you. Being a public thread, though, the "rules" become an assorted list of random crap thrown together by whichever members wanted to be seen dictating policy. I'm not going to enforce rules that are thrown together like that.

I really think we should hold off on creating any rules or any such nonsense... I have a feeling things are going to stir up in the next few days.
