Anyone intrested in bying a StarCraft Beta

Hi!

I was one of the lucky ones back when the good folks at Blizzard let people register for a beta test for Starcraft.

After a few weeks I got my hands on the StarCraft Beta CD and the papers that came with it (cd-keys and other info). I'm not sure but I think there was about 1000 who was chosen to take part in the beta testning.

My question is now. Does any of you guys think there would be anyone intrested in bying my copy of the Beta CD? My thoughts would be any hard core players and such.

The CD will not play anymore, since the beta is over ;) so the value is only for colectors.

You can try selling it on eBay... just don't try to lead people on that might be under the impression they can still play it.

I am pretty sure if you find a hardcore starcraft fan, they will buy it. The only thing is finding one, but I assume there are alot. Ebay would probably work best.

I think it'd be worth quite a bit. Certain skilled custom makers will probably also be able to open it up and extract graphics, sounds and other things out of it too.

eBay would be the best option.

The beta was a Battle.Net only beta. You could only play it online. And since the beta test ended just befre release it stopped working. So it is just a collectors item now.

Do you know if the MPQ is openable by WinMPQ? Is it valid? The MPQ might contain tons of valuable info. Unit data, grps, smks, bunch of stuff.

I cant say that I know if the MPQ is openable or not I have never checked and would not know how to. I'm still waiting to get a new internet conection at home (damn those ISP's) and as it looks right now I could be waiting untill the middle of Oct. As soon as I get it I'l post more info and maby a pic or two in this thread.

I have no idea. But i'll guess I'll put it out on Ebay. As soon as I get a new internet conection. Right now I only get acces from my work.
