Defense/RPG map

I played a map a while ago, and I just remembered this, where you would get 1 unit (hero), and your "base" (the place where you start) would get attacked by enemies, so you had to defend. Then you had to retrieve... I think data CDs... between defending. It was hard, and I never beat it, but I remember it was fun. Any ideas?

The closest one i can think of: Mini Town Defense.

That's definitely not it. You only had one main unit and it used normal terrain, not blocks like that.
