Signiture appears as box with red x

When i try to put a signiture i made on "paint", it shows up as a blank box with a red x in a smaller box in the top left. help?

Well one of the most common reasons that the sig is not showing is because the site where you uploaded it at is prob not functioning, or you provided the wrong URL.
The present one of Ralph shows up normally though.
Did you save the image in pain as bmp or jpeg/jpg?

i saved it from "paint" but i copyed and pasted it after i inserted it on microsoft word


just looked it up- it is a .BMP is there a way i could change it?

No no no ..you need to upload the sig online.
And don't use bmp.
In paint save as jpg instead.

The Avy's can be on your PC but your sigs you need to upload

how do u save as jpg? it automaticly saves as bmp.

and i cant upload pictures onto my website cuz of my popup blocker.

-could i send someone my picture via email and they could give metheir website and put it on their website for me?

You can easily upload your pics on any free hosting services.I really don't see a popup blocker messing that up.
There are quite a few around and there is an announcement regarding this matter.

Also in paint you can choose the file type from the drop down list in the dialog box that pops up when you clikk Flie->Save As..

In the "Save As..." window, below the text box where you enter the file name there should be a drop-down menu saying "Bitmap Image" or something like that. Open that menu and look for JPEG or JPG (something like that).

AS TNE said, just read the announcement for a list of sites to host your signature.
They're all good and pretty reliable. Relatively easy to use, too. Kupatrix doesn't require registration, so that's a nice quick and easy one to use.
