Jesus taught us to love one another NO MATTER another person's station, creed, gender, lifestyle, etc etc.

This is why ppl don't bother with religion. Because it gets messed up and they get a view of how it SHOULDN'T be.

Homosexuals are PEOPLE TOO.

Women who choose to live with their boyfriend before they are married are PEOPLE TOO.

Cross dressers are PEOPLE TOO.

Men who cheat on their wives--Vice versa and make that mistake--ARE PEOPLE TOO.

Young girls or women who get pregnant without being married first--ARE PPL TOO DANGIT!!

We all make mistakes and guess what? We have that right to still be loved on!

I'm soo disgusted with some attitudes that it sickens me.

Jesus kicked it with ppl who were shunned by everyone else, so why can't they?

I want to apologize to those of you who have been hurt and offended by anyone who got in your face the wrong way concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus never rubbed his beliefs in anyone's face. I wish my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ would do the same.

Well, I'm an Atheist so this is well-overdue, at least in my opinion.
I'm glad that there's some Christians (and any theologians for that matter) who actually understand that it's who you are and what you do as a person that counts.
For example, I have an (ex) friend. Now, she and I were really tight friends and it was all fine until she decided to attack someone because they hadn't defined the music they listen to in the most accurate way possible. Personally, I live my metal and everything, but even I told her that music shouldn't mean that much.
So she threw a tantrum at me, and said that god will smite me down. All because I didn't do what she wants.

Whether I believe in god or not it shouldn't matter, surely a truly omnibenevolent entity would rather have me in heaven, a non-believer who has made the decision that my life will be spent on aiding others, than her, a believer who smothers her beliefs liberally over anyone and everyone she meets, claiming to be of a higher-level than them.

Oh, and if you want to know what's happened so far, she turned against her best friend, after she defended someone else. All she did was say that posting an aggressive, inflammatory video attacking one of this girls other friends wasn't the best idea. Hahaha, do I or do I not some insecurity on behalf of my old friend?

I'll simply agree that overbearing people are, in general, annoying and frustrating to deal with. Religion has very little to do with it, although several people use it as their source of self-righteousness. However, many people, regardless of faith, behave just as horribly towards others because of a perceived superiority in race, politics, nationality, or a host of other divisions.

Don't forget that people who espouse their religious views are people too. Ironically you are making a topic apologizing for people who espouse their views, and tell them that they are wrong. So.. you're espousing your view and telling them they are wrong. Than you proceed to apologize to people in a direct manner which is the same as getting up in someone's face. Not only that but you imply that those people are wrong, but you are "too good" to tell them so. That's a short summary :rolleyes:

So.. you're espousing your view and telling them they are wrong.She is following the teachings of Jesus, who went up against the status quo so that people can see that God is love and passionate. I know that you're trying to twist the logic, so here's why. A long time ago in Jerusalem there were religious people called the Pharisees who showed their views by making excruciatingly long prayers out open in the streets, and would not associate themselves with sinners, but they would rather judge them for not being right with God. The Pharisees followed laws made by man, which were not what God had lain down in the Law(the Torah). Jesus came and showed all of their wrong teachings and he summed up the Ten Commandments with one word: Love (Matt. 22:34-40). It was about loving God and loving each other.
