I have been reading numerous books on Star Wars. (Jude Watson, Real Good Books)

(No luck on KOTOR, sorry. All i had for a lead was a game called the Manadorian Wars on Battle.Net :P)

Aparently, they all happen from when Obi-Wan was Qui-Gon's apprentice, so I guess that's when this RP wil be taking place.

So a few years before Episode 1.

Feel free to create a war, start rivalries, and even be affected by the Dark Side. The Sith Holocron is in the library if you would like a sneek peek :-)

Heres kind of a list of what your character can vary to:
(Please mention if you would like to be some other character)

Bounty Hunter
Jedi Padawan/Knight/Master
Planetary Leader
Civillian
Lorian Nod (If You Don't Know Who Whatever else you can be creative with :P
Space Pirate
Some Rebel Force On Some Planet, Go Figure

I'll control some characters, as well as do a little GMing.

Good lucks.

Polkaman, if you're unsure about something Star Wars, you can use the Wookieepedia (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page), the Star Wars wiki.
(And i think it was called the Mandalorian Wars)

I'm also guessing this will be the rebellion(classic) era?

Rakam is also very well with his hands, having crafted a spaceship to transfer his new master and himself to Coruscant.

Xi'na K'ritol (Zinn) is a Verpine civilian, formerly a fleet engineer and currently employed as a pilot and bodyguard. Actually, he's looking for work.

Ship Specifications: Illn Ak'tor, a starship designed by Xi'na himself, and quite a strange ship. It has been customized extensively for Xi'na himself, and though the ship may originally have been a predecessor to the later Imperial v-19 [i]Torrent, it is now a unique construction in its own right.

Gone is the lower wing of the fighter, and in its place an extended hull and low-weight hyperdrive have been installed. Furthermore, the controls of the ship are entirely missing, as Xi'na's ability to emit and receive radiowaves has made them entirely unnecessary. This has also made him an unusually agile pilot, reacting immediately to events from anywhere in the ship.

The radio-shields around the redundant computer boxes have served to prevent any other source from remotely affecting them. The ship itself is a mere ten meters in length and twenty meters in width, and it is armed with a mildly fearsome array of four blaster cannons. These cannons have little autonomous movement, keeping them as light as possible.

Lastly, the ship's engines have been substantially upgraded, and a small cargo bay exists, currently outfitted to hold a handful of passengers in relative comfort.

Weapons: Xi'na is a highly trained Teras Kasi master, and keeps a bow with him for the purposes of dealing with opponents he can't get to. While he tends to have any number of gadgets on him, most of them experimental, at any one time, he seems to prefer a personal touch when fighting enemies.

Bio: As a youngling, Xi'na's hive was destroyed by a group of mercenaries working for a dark jedi who had taken fancy to the Verpine's weapons.

He and an ancient of his hive were on Coruscant at the time, trading technology for certain supplies unavailable in their asteroid world (for the Ancient was tasked with doing so, and Xi'na, as a particularly promising young technologist, was asked to come along that he might learn something), and received news of the destruction with dismay.

Months later, Xi'na was found to be force sensitive and trained as a Padawan for some time, but was eventually passed over for long enough by older Masters (for he was unusually obsessed with vengeance) that he was moved to the civilian sector, returned to a small cadre of Verpine refugees making their home in Coruscant. There, he at first sought to continue training as a Jedi, that he might get back at the mercenaries who destroyed his hive, but eventually fell in with a Teras Kasi master who saw potential in the young Verpine. (and enjoyed the idea of taking from the Jedi one of their apprentices)

After many years of training, during which Xi'na grew still more technologically adept, the master, a human named Mallon Tam, was called to help defend his homeworld from a minor incursion. Xi'na went along, and unfortunately Mallon was killed during one of the scuffles when an unnoticed bowcaster bolt ricocheted off a wall and hit him in the head.

Xi'na has, since then, continued his studies in both Teras Kasi and in technological aptitudes, bought and modified his own starship, and ferried several passengers from planet to planet. He has a reputation as somewhat of a maverick, among Verpine, relying almost as much on intuition as on trial and error for his creations, and has become pensive and quiescent, preferring to tinker with things than sell them.

His funds are now drying up, and though on the verge of an important discovery regarding a vibroblade attachment for gauntlets specifically useful in the odd form of Teras Kasi he's developed, he is now looking for work again.

The human - a middle-aged male in a bad suit who Xi'na has seen around but never encountered before - seems nervous despite his attempts to hide this behind a veneer of quiet irritation, Xi'na notes. He is happy, at the moment, that one of the advertisements he placed in the cantinas and spaceports of the area has found a potential buyer - most often, the holographic messages are replaced minutes after the time on them is bought, without consideration to the contract.

"I heard about your shuttle from a friend who mentioned your ad in the Spaceport; I figured since I was looking for a pilot anyway..." the man's hands flail helplessly as he searches for something to say. "I need four passengers ferried to Froswythe - I'm starting an agri-farm there, and I need the workers. I'll be along later - I'll give you a datachip so you know where to drop them off."

"I'm not interested in babysitting, Human", Xi'na says in his rasping, chittering voice. The last time he took a ferry mission without anyone in charge, it was months before he could leave the planet - no one was there to confirm the transfer.

"Uh, my associates should meet you there for the pickup." He smiles nervously. "It's a big ranch, hard to miss. Lots of bantha in the hills around - they scare easily when starships come in, don't worry about it."

"Hmmm. And I assume you're paying in galactic credits?"

"Absolutely. Uh, Or we can do Peggats, I guess, though if you're based in Coruscant, I suppose that's not a big deal."

"Very well. And your offer?" The man starts, surprised at Xi'na's hesitance to throw a bid himself. Thinking for a moment, he says:

"Four thousand GCU; one on departure, three on arrival."

"Eight thousand. Three on departure, five on arrival." Xi'na chitters warily; his bid is slightly outrageous for a simple mission, but something about this man makes him nervous, and Xi'na has come to trust his instincts. Even he is surprised, however, when the man replies:

"Done. How soon can you leave?"

"How soon would you like? I can be at the hangar in ten minutes."

"Right. Uh, give me a couple of hours. We'll be there at, uh, two?"

"Yes."

"Right. Right. All right. Here's the datapad" - the man slips over a thin electronic database, capable of handling a paltry three million terabytes, and Xi'na accepts it with nary a word, still surprised by the price the human is willing to pay.

-----

At two twenty-five, Xi'na still waits patiently for the human to arrive with his charges, but they remain nowhere in sight. The Verpine sighs in irritation, mandibles chattering, but sits back. Eight thousand - no, Ten thousand, he says to himself - GCU is well worth a few minute's wait. Even several days', to tell the truth. And his patience is justified as he sees the man approach, followed by three children and a middle-aged woman in long robes. The children - two boys and a girl, perhaps thirteen, fourteen years of age - are dressed simply, in neatly-cut clothing in brown and tan hues.

"Sorry we're late", the man says, grinning helplessly, as the woman behind him bows, saying nothing. "We got held up by, uh procedures. Anyway, here's your three-"

"Four and six.", Xi'na says, nodding to himself. "Late charges, you understand. They will be refunded if the shipment does not arrive in a timely fashion."

The man looks for a moment as though he's about to argue, but doesn't, poking at his credit chip for a few seconds before handing it over. The woman by his side nods helpfully as Xi'na guides the children into the cargo hold, where a collection of old seats are placed around a simple table, and as they sit down, the woman enters, looking around before stating simply:

"I don't expect any funny business, Verpine. Screw this up, or ask too many questions, and you'll be in deeper trouble than you know." To this, Xi'na shrugs, and as he turns back towards the cockpit of Iln Ak'tor, he realizes something:

All of his passengers are force-sensitive. And at the very least, the woman is trained.

Beginning to understand exactly why his employer is willing to waste so much money on a simple ferry service, Xi'na curses himself both for not asking for more and for getting involved with the Jedi, no matter whether the woman is a simple agrifarmer or not. These things, he mulls to himself silently as the ship takes off without the slightest twitch of a muscle on his part, always end in trouble.

Anoiktos

[If you're a jedi, on Coruscant, then you could be, say, picking up an apprentice, going on a covert mission, getting a mission from the Council, getting supplies, visiting an old friend/contact, beating the living hell out of a covert sith enclave (unlikely), helping an old friend, chasing down a mercenary, trying to get permission from the council to do something, *doing* a mission...

...There's no end to how you can start, or what you can do. That's the point of an open RPG.]

**ZOOOOOM**

The engine on his ship screamed as he flew over Coruscant, in pursuit of a merc that has just assasinated a Senator. J-2 this is J1, When you get within reach, disable the ship.Rakam buzzed through the Private Jedi Comm Channel. He twisted the steering controls to the right quickly as a Cargo ship turned out in front of him. He was almost close enough to the Merc's ship that he could disable it. RAKAM LOOK OUT! His Comm hedset awoke him from his Force Trance. His instincts took over and he pulled the steering controls toward him, pulling up in time to avoid a collision with another reckless pilot. Rakam raised his hand, sweat pouring down his face as he pulled the Engine from the Merc's ship, and held it in open space.

------3 hours later-----

"You have done well Jedi Rakam, you should be proud. There were no casualties." The Jedi master debriefed him. "Thank you Master." Rakam bowed and left the room. No casulties..but the senator..Rakam thought quietly to himself. I did well..I should be proud..but what about that senator's family? Maybe I should go see them. Rakam did an about face and pushed a button on a screen, letting the counsel know he wanted to see them. Within minutes, he was talking.

"I want to meet with the Senator's family...I somehow feel drawn towards them." Rakam told counsel."Feel a connection do you? Do you feel drawn towards them? What would you want to do?" Rakam was silent for a moment then said"I don't know..the Force works in odd ways..I feel I must see them." The Jedi Masters exchanged glances. "Very well...remeber your training, and May The Force be with you." Rakam bowed and left.

It seems the device was a small radar.

"Meesa wonders why that radar was there, master" Het Mar said.

"Meesa wonders, too" his master replied."But anyway, meesa has a mission for yousa.Yousa must investigate a crash site, not far away from here."

"Meesa will go as fastest as possible! But really, why don't yousa send a scout, master?"

"Because all the scouts are away, Het Mar."

"Okay, meesa will be going then."

The Datachip is clear enough. Froswythe is a distant system, but not one totally unknown to Xi'na; it is renowned for its vast plains and the richness of its few forests. Xi'na has not been there, but considering the native creatures, he supposes its environment will be similar enough to that of other agriculturally prosperous planets to not cause much of a problem. The voyage is smooth, the jump into hyperspace without the slightest hitch, and as they burst into planetary space, Forsythe looms above them, a gigantic blue-green orb.

The planet is mostly land-locked; pools of water form here and there, but most of the moisture is in the atmosphere, as the planet is slightly warmer and more humid than galactic norm. From space, it is impossible to see the roaming packs of bantha or prides of various predators, but Xi'na maneuvers easily enough, tracing the few unnatural radio signals coming from the planet back to a number of compounds mostly arrayed along the daytime side of the planet. Avoiding its two moons is easy enough; he approaches from the axis, moving in smoothly for a landing.

Xi'na takes pride in his work; he is, while not the best of pilots, certainly an excellent one, and specializes in ferrying jobs, so his landing is smooth as silk and not the least jarring as the Illn Ak'tor touches planetside near a periphery compound as designated by the Datapad. The verpine disengages the ambient motor and steps out to stretch his back before opening the cargo hold.

Within, the children sit silently - measure of some unnatural force or persuasion, he figures, and as he helps them out, the woman stares at him in a discomforting fashion.

"You have training", she says, her voice accusatory. He nods, but does not bow.

"Coruscant, dear lady. And I was not ordained, but sent back to my people when no master would have me." She raises an eyebrow, looking Xi'na up and down, and he cannot ignore the sensation of being probed.

"That was, perhaps, a mistake. Time will tell. Thank you for your services." She moves to leave, but Xi'na raises a hand:

"Ah-ah; What about the second part of my pay?"

"You would presume to charge someone you know to be a Jedi?"

"I didn't know that much until you told me just now. And either way, a contract is a contract."

"Very well, pilot. You will have to come into the complex with us; I do not have a credit chip on hand."

"That is acceptable." Xi'na moves towards the compound, following the woman and her charges, and nodding appreciatively at the safety measures the place seems to have; biocoded sensors at the door respond to the woman's touch, and as the door opens, a couple in black robes step out, and though the woman is already moving backwards, the two have been ready for some time, pressing the advantage as sabres of glowing light erupt from holsters that have leapt to their hands. They leap easily over the children, and this surprises Xi'na; he would have thought Sith would relish the chance to kill potential young Jedi.

Unless they could be turned. Too late, he realizes their plan - or at least part of it - and springs into action. The Jedi seems to be having some trouble against two black adepts, her blade, though fast, not suited for deflecting a pronged attack. Xi'na steps neatly behind one of them, who senses his presence and stabs backwards in what would be a killing blow if the Verpine had not deftly stepped to the side. The two pause for a second, confused as to why a pilot would be attempting to fight Sith directly, and the Jedi seems equally surprised, but their moment of pause serves only to heighten the pace of the ensuing battle.

The Sith split up, one of them busying himself with the Jedi, the female sneering and stabbing once again towards Xi'na, who simply is not there, dodging with unnatural speed. Normally, a Jedi can sense the flow of battle and account for it, but between the Verpine's apprentice training and his mastery of Teras Kasi, the Sith remains confused, unable to predict or account for his attacks. She still has the better weapon, and her powers are well used to shape the terrain to her advantage, so Xi'na finds himself dodging flying rocks as well as lightsaber blows, frantically trying to keep himself alive against overwhelming odds -

- Or so it seems before he gently taps the saber-weiling wrist of the woman, and her hand falls; he kicks her knee, and it breaks, and finally, he channels the energy within him and shoves her to the ground, breaking her weapon in half with his foot as she rises with a scream of anger.

...Anger which grants her power, which heightens her ability to percieve the force. As it flows about her, Xi'na realizes he has only seconds - and neatly sweeps his spindly, chitinous leg around into her neck, causing her to fall backwards, laying still once more.

As he finishes, he bows, and notes that the Jedi has also bested her opponent, slicing his chest in half. He sighs, motioning towards the compound with a flourish and a bow.

She stares.

"What- How- Who are you, Verpine? You fight in such a strange way... And to best a Sith without.. Without even a weapon. I cannot read you, Verpine! Your mind is blank, without place. It is as though you were trained not to shield your mind, but to have no mind at all, to hide it."

"Stay out of my mind, Jedi. Now - about my pay."

"You want more? I-"

"No. The agreed-upon amount is enough. I would advise you to contact the Jedi Council about this event; I doubt it is isolated, considering your attempts at subtlety availed you not. Also, you may wish to question the people who remain inside the compound - if there are any."

The Jedi seems surprised by this, and tilts her head disbelievingly.

"I suppose... Very well, Verpine. I will keep contact with them... And you. I am Knight Darsa of the Order. And you are?"

"I am surprised you do not know; it was you who chartered the voyage, was it not? I am Xi'Na, a Verpine from the lost colony of Khadrush."

"...Destroyed. I heard about it."

"It gladdens me to hear that my family has not gone forgotten, even by humans. Fare well, Knight. I will remain on this planet until I find a job to return - it would do me no justice to waste fuel costs without cargo."

With that, he leaves, heading towards the main compound of the city in search of a drink.

Name: Dekghim Zweylii, casually "Dek"
Species: Male Trandoshan
Position: "Capo" of the Sector 6 Syndicate
Force Sensitive?: Yes
Planet Your On: Courescant
Owns a starship?: No
Weapons: Carries DL-22 Blaster pistol and hold-out Q2 pistol hidden in an ankle holster

Bio: Dekghim was grew up as an orphan in the gang-infested lower levels of courescant, and was able to sustain himself by fighting in the arena. Physically, very powerful, standing at 6'5", and extremely formidable in hand-to-hand combat from his teenage years as an arena champion. After becoming a known character of the courescant underground, he became associated with the sector six syndicate, one of the most powerful gangs on the planet, and has made his way to "capo", with plenty of ambition still in him.

Recently, Dekghim has become notorious for his skill at cards, and has become associated with certain political figures from frequenting casinos. Much of his business involving his recent friends and the syndicate are known only to his superiors in the organization.

Even after realizing his connection with the force(which he assumes comes from his parents) , Dek had no desire to associate with the jedi, feeling an inner resentment for their way of life. Because of this, his powers aren't very developed, honing only his deep awareness, using it for his advantage mainly in brawls and casinos.
----------------------------------------------------------------

"Our shipment from Tattooine is docking at Hangar 18 later on tonight. I want you to meet them there and make sure the payment goes smoothly."

Dek sensed a nervousness in his voice

"You expecting something to happen, jabba?"

"I'm not sure. I've been seeing a lot of new faces lately... A lot of guns moving around... and security at the capital has tripled since last week. I have a feeling someone may know about our plans."

"Are you gonna pull out now, when we are this close?"

"Never. But I want you there in case something happens. If we do have enemies who know of this, then we need to know who and eliminate them as quickly as possible."

"Don't worry, old slug. I've invested too much in this to let some snitch ruin it. I'll send you a transmission as soon as the deals done"

The robed trandoshan ashed his cigarette and made his way out the cantina.

Name: Tor'Quin, aka "Torq"
Age: 25
Race: Human Mandalorian
Appearence: Black cropped hair, light blue eyes, constant 5 o'clock shadow, 5' 11", toned slightly built body.
Position: Bounty Hunter
Foce sensitive: No
Ship: "Shadow Striker"
Planet: Lok
Weapons: Two heavy blaster pistols on his hips, and a modified blaster carbine which can become a rifle or sniper rifle (Much like the DC15 of the Clone Wars)

Bio:Raised on one of the few remainling Mandalorian colonies in the outer rim of the Republic. Tor'Quinon, "Torq" by his friends, lived day to day being taught the way of the Mandalorian Warrior, despite the fact that the once proud warriors, were now nothing more than a rag tag group of out laws and mercs. Torq took his teachings to heart growing up showing a deep understanding of what it meant to be a famed Mandalorian warrior. At his turning of age, he was presented with a choice from the elders of his group. Either stay and teach the next generation of Mandalorians of their history and deeds, or go out into the galaxy and lead a life of honor and pride and one day return to share his experiences. Torq took the later of the two, and was given a jet black suit of Mandalorian armor, representing his choice for solitude.

Over the last four years, Torq has been working as one of Nims' Bounty Hunters on the small Tatooine moon of Lok. Earning the nick name, "Shadow of Death" from Nim and his clan of thugs, and earning small but powerful pull with the Hutts and Black Sun crime rings, as well as having drawn the eyes of the Jedi on the young Mandalorian.

Torq regularly travels from Lok to numerous locations. Naboo, Tatooine, Rori, Coruscant, using his small stike craft the "Shadow Striker" and always in his jet black armor.
------------------------------------------

With his feet up on the back of the co-pilot seat, Torq reclined in his chair, the "Shadow" drifting lazily on autopilot towards the lush planet of Naboo. Eyeing his helmet as it sat on the command console.

"How much longer till we reach orbit Jade?" He asked calmly, hearing a slight beep from the console.

"We will be entering Naboos atmosphere in 4 minutes." Came the soft digital voice. Torq grabbed his helmet and slipped it on, punching a few commands into the ship, a hologram poped up, showing a man in his forties with a price sitting next to his head.

"Another day at the office. Inform Nim to have the credits ready to wire to me in the next 13 hours." He said to the computer, strapping on his belt and pistols.
