I thought I'd would be an intresting idea to get Warboardians to get togheter and look at past posts that they made that were wise, accurate and dead on.

That button helps, even if it is only temporary. What you're suggesting is incredibly time-consuming, a massive project, and all-out futile. What's to be gained? We all think we're right anyway.

In other words, just take a peek at your user control panel to see which of your posts did the other members like, as indicated by a shiny big blue ball of rep.

Didn't you learn anything in Sex Ed?
Obviously via female penises.

I was particularly proud of this post, and got a lot of karma for it:

My best post was here. (http://www.warboards.org/showpost.php?p=620133&postcount=21)
But yeah, I used to love going into the IR and just screwing with people's minds, but now it's just lost it's appeal.

I don't know how to link to a seperate post, so I'll just quote it here.
Depends on who, how, when and for what reasons. It's a pretty broad question. If my country turned into a dictatorship and the French decided to liberate us from our opressors, no problem.
If Germany decided to pull another 'hey let's take over the world', I would be less compliant. However, I doubt I'd join the resistance. A lot of people here say they'd die for their country, but I find that hard to believe.
When Holland was conquered by the Germans in WWII, less than 2% of the population was an active member of the resistance. Pretty much everyone hated the Germans' guts, but joining the resistance = getting killed, and probably your family and friends too. If one german soldier was killed, all the men in the village were lined up and shot.
If you compare that 2% with the 52% in this poll, I think you'll agree someone needs a reality check.
It's very nice and inspiring to think of yourself as a brave and valiant protecter of freedom, but realistic? I think not.
The poll lacks the option that the grand majority of people really chooses. Sit it out and try to survive the best you can.
That one got me a lot of rep.

Well, if "reputation" is any indication: my thoughtless, two-second posts are pure gold while my carefully considered ones are utter trash.
The jury's still out.

Don't kid yourself Schwitzer, you're fingers are coated with uber-reputation-ness. Every keystroke you type is worthy of being carved into gold tablets and placed around the world for all others to see your superior skills.
Ok, that's my suckup for the year.

People seemed to enjoy this post... Shows even the random theist can enjoy mocking Richard Dawkins, and/or using terms meant to mock their faith and embrace them.

And also for obvious reasons I myself personally enjoyed this one...

I simply came to the conclusion that when my sarcasm meter is higher (http://www.warboards.org/showpost.php?p=520149&postcount=4) is when am having a greater tendency to get karma points. Go figure human logic, eh. :P
P.S. - Even though I haven't won any particular karma points with that one I recall receiving heaps of it in one of the threads that were auto generated by the ban messages to the user that resulted from it. :smirk:

A lot of people repped me for my colorful post in the fake moderator elections, but I didn't walk away with many points at all. I also got a lot of rep for my Unreal Anthology Review, but since then, I only get one or two rep for posts here and there.
I've been repped for post reports, too. Pretty strange, as I have no idea which report it was, because vB won't let me see it .

That is the result of being given karma through an invisible post to you. *Wink, blown out of the water hint* That happens when the post is anywhere inside a forum that you can't see (like for instance the reported posts). ;)
What is pretty strange is that I'm getting a few karma points for letting my GA side out more often (than I usually did when in staff).

I gave him negative rep right back. That was kinda funny.

Here (http://www.warboards.org/showpost.php?p=618500&postcount=2) it is!

I would like to add that my favourite post (from the ones I posted, of course) is the following one:

No, it is not sexually themed. It actually involves role-playing. View my user profile to see it :P :D

I got rep from two people while I was away doing some hard labor for some relatives. Digging holes isn't my specialty. I did, however, get to use a drill that looked suspiciously like a Gravity Gun. It just had a digging drill bit. Tons of fun.
In other news, I'm exhausted and I leave for New York City tomorrow afternoon. Bleargh.

Where do you find which posts you've been given reputation for? I can only seem to find a listing of recent reputation points given. And it doesn't show all of them ('cause you know, I get so much rep ;P).

Apart the more recent ones in your User CP, I don't think that it's currently possible. I, however can recall a few since I'm such a memory elephant. :)
Anyway, the closest call to getting a full list of whom got karma and from whom it was (i.e, not the exact posts) that I know of is the global mod' CP. :shiftyl:

I don't neg rep people, imo it's just spreading misery and other pointless bullshit.
Even after the big AJ ERASER hit on my rep, I still cared. Thankfully, after a bit of time, I think I've finally let go. So long, and thanks for all the rep.

For anyone who gives a crap, the irony in my post was due to the fact that it was contradictory to itself, and my claiming it was ironic, and it not being ironic, is what induces the irony, while simultaneously creating a logical dilemma.

I can't say any of my posts have been particularly high quality. I do regret, however, that I have but one keyboard to sacrifice in the name of my forum.
As Geno said (I'm paraphrasing):
So long, and thanks for all the crap.
The posts I'm most fond of all tend to be roleplaying posts, and none of them are on this forum. I *still* nitpick at the grammar and spelling I used oh, a month ago.
