Personally, really short-term, I'd like to start a blog, and make it a good one. I'm not looking for international acclaim, but a small amount of recognition would be nice.
Long term? I'd like to live longer than my parents. With modern medicine, that's an easily attainable goal.

College and uni are next naturally (already down to start A level Physics, Biology, Maths and Philosophy).

I would like to learn French and German before I move to mainland Europe and pursue a career in science/film. Ideally I would like to have a family and retire from my vocation to open a book shop in some side street of a sophis' city. Perhaps even expanding my business in to further areas. But all of this is the 'dream'. I would be more than content with dying a happy man.

But then again... transhumanism is becoming more and more likely each year...

You have to pay for housing, multiple bills, insurance, car insurance, gas, groceries, furniture, taxes, credit card, and the internet. Not to mention attending college 5 days a week plus several days worth of homework, WHILE maintaining a job leaving you with virtually no free time or spare cash. Usually you will spend several years paying back loans after filling out the extensive paperwork. Don't forget about the other paper work involved in bills and taxes too.

Or you can live at poverty level with a crappy job you hate so you don't have to go to college.

But meh, turning eighteen wasn't like hitting a lightbulb except for legal things, than again I turned eighteen my senior year so I was stuck in high school for a few months unlike the kids who chose to drop out with only a few more months.

Also, I am sure Silvercrusader is smart enough to figure things out on his own.

I already do most of that, save for the stuff I can't do due to age, such as credit cards. I can also cook and clean for myself better than most. But, I don't have a car, because I have to pay insurance and gas for it. insurance is so high for me right now even if I work 20 hours a week (the max I can fit in my schedule) at the minimum wage of $7.00 an hour I'll only earn $140 a week, multiplied by 26 (half of a year). that's only 3,640 - income tax. So I'll say I'll make around 3,300 every half of a year. Now subtract 2,400 or so for insurance because I'm a male and I'm 16 (this is including the good grades discount). So I'm left with 1,100 dollars. Now to factor in gas. I wouldn't drive much so I have to say a tank of gas and a quarter every month. That's roughly 20 gallons. So 20 * 4 * 6 would be my gas spending every 6 months. That's 480 dollars every half year. Subtract and get 620 dollars every 6 months to spend on other expenses.
That makes having a car rather pointless as I have to work 4 hours a day to pay for the damn thing.
As you can see I think things through before I do them. My mom has been leaving me alone for as long as a week at a time, and it turned me from a lazy person into a responsible individual. I think I can manage my freedom just fine.

I have rather vague goals in life. I thought I wanted to be a Cardiothoracic surgeon, but recently that pipe dream isn't so appealing anymore. I dislike Science, and I'm terrible at the subject in school, yet I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. Ironic huh?

I took one of those personality tests to see what jobs suite my personality the best, and I got a Investigative Social personality which despite answering no to every "do you like to teach" related question, I still got a list of science teaching jobs that suite my personality the best.

Recently the Marine Corp seems very appealing, but I haven't really told many people about that yet. Pursuing a career in the military is looked down upon in my family, so I'll pretend to look at other possible careers. Being a veterinarian seems kind of cool because I like animals, but once again that brings up the subject of science, which I'm bad at. Well at least I still have 2 more years to figure this out.

But setting the career goal aside, I plan on moving to England, buy a "flat" out at the country and raise a family. I want to have 2 kids (two daughters or a boy and a girl) and a smoking hot ginger as my wife. I don't care how much money I make as long its enough to live comfortably and put my kids through college. I'm also gonna get pets, maybe two dogs (A German shepherd and a Golden Retriever maybe?) and I'm not going to buy a car. I'm going to be one of those crazy people that either walk or ride a bike everywhere.

I want to do my 20-30 years in the military depending on how it goes, retire from that then maybe use my GI bill to get some degree, or possibly let one of my future children go to college for free on it. Then after that, I'd get some part time job and work maybe 20 hours a week.

Also, hike the Pacific Crest Trail.

Advice to all the kids here (That includes you Raven)

You don't NEED credit cards. They are a trap that will cause you much much more headache than they are worth. As for car payments, you don't need a nice car in college, if you even need one. Just get a cheap beater and pay cash.

Freedom is great btw, just because you don't have the self discipline to manage your freedom doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
