Hey y'all! I haven't posted here in a while so I figured I'd give y'all an update on me...

I'm in Afghanistan right now, and so far I freakin' love it here. I'm glad I'm here and pretty soon I'll get to start doin' humanitarian aid to the locals so that'll be awesome.

Anyone who thinks we aren't accomplishing anything over here needs to go be less stupid.

I have no idea. Right now I'm just waiting in Camp Phoenix in Kabul, and this camp is probably safer than a majority of big cities in the US. Honestly right now the war is a big game of whack a mole. They pop out, we kill them.

Nope, right now I'm attached to Task Force Pheonix which is the mentoring mission for the Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police, and Afghan National Border Police. I'm not sure if I'll be doing the actual mentor mission though, I think I might just be doing support for the mentors.

The supply situation here is ...adequte...

As for the armor, there is a new type of IBA out there that is more comfortable to wear (heresay, I haven't worn it so I wouldn't know) that they are starting to issue to people here, there is a shortage of that, but let me be clear here, EVERYONE COMING IN COUNTRY HAS IBA, the only difference is the comfort level. As far as I know there is no difference in the level of protection supplied.

...Tents, I don't know about, most places did away with tents and we have small hardened buildings called b-huts we live in, some places still have tents for transients, but thats about it.

As for the "other crap" I can't get into to much of it because of OPSEC. If I tell you some of the stuff and the enemy reads it (thats right Achmed, I know you're reading this you incompetent fool. btw, Allah hates you for what you're doing) then they'll learn something that they can use to kill us and I don't want that. I'll tell you this though, what we need we can get.

As for the heat, where I'm at isn't bad at all, it stayed around the 90s during the day and about in the 60s at night. Its pretty dry too.
