I know a lot of warboardians here travel a lot so my question to you is where would your dream house be placed?

I would love to live somewhere in Tokyo or New York. There's something about the city that just entrances me.

Alright, I recently began thinking about what the world would be like if I had godlike powers. I eventually decided it would be split in two, one world with all the good things I could create and another with all the bad things.

I would, of course, have a temple in each version of the world.

Evil Overlord
-A jagged, spiked, dark castle perched on the top of a volcano, with the lava acting as a moat and slowly pouring down the sides of the volcano. Below would be a blasted, charred plain that would stretch away, dotted with lakes and streams of more lava and geysers and such.
-This plain would be ringed by low, jagged mountains and a few more volcanoes. Bridges, made of black rock, would stretch away from my temple/castle at five points and meet with the mountains, where there would be massive gates to get in and out.
-Inside my temple I would have gardens of twisted, flaming trees, grand halls, a map of the world, stuff like that. Generally, badassery/heavily disturbed craziness.

-My temple would be held in the branches of a massive tree, and by massive I mean massive. The tree would be sitting on a set of cliffs, and directly underneath would be a well, so that waterfalls would pour between the roots of the tree.
-Like my evil overlord palace, this area would be surrounded by plains, except in this version, they would be dotted with streams and lakes and trees, calming and peaceful. Around the edges of this area would be white cliffs, covered in trees and such, with several large gates cut at ground level into them, each having a road leading back to the tree.
-The temple itself would be a number of round, white marble spheres and domes and spires perched in the trees limbs, in some cases with the tree growing around them. Inside would be monestaries, zen gardens, libraries, etc.

I'd like my dreamhouse to be somewhere close to a resort on the Philippines, like on a hill above the water where i can stare at the horizon and watch the sun set while sitting on a patio drinking beer with my cousins.

My dreamhouse would be default for rich people. A big, villa with lots of hot chicks, and many nice looking cars, and the house would be fully equipped. This is maybe more like the Playboy mansion, but whatever.

If you're looking for hot chicks, Spain is the place to go. Trust me on this one, it's unbelievable. Germany is good too. France and Italy...not so much.

I wouldn't need a big house, just enough room for my belongings and room for friends and family to visit. And a big yard, too. I wouldn't have to wake up in the morning, I wouldn't have to interact with people. It'd just be me. And I like that.

Hawaii would be nice because the weather is great, I could go surfing whenever I want, sit on the beach, eat at the nice restaurants. It's pretty much the perfect place (Other than the volcano). Personally, I think nice vacation places are places we'd like to live at but don't have the money to do so. The jobs at Hawaii don't pay well and the cost of living is high. But I could very easily imagine living there for at least 5 years.

If you're looking for hot chicks, Spain is the place to go. Trust me on this one, it's unbelievable. Germany is good too. France and Italy...not so much.

I guess I'm looking to look at hot chicks... I'm not going to delude myself. I'm not going to be getting any of them. Yeah, Spanish and German chicks are hot. Russian too. But from popular conceptions, so are Italian girls. French Canadian girls are good looking too, so I thought French girls would be as well.

For a more serious answer, Europe is awesome, it'd be cool to live in England or the Netherlands. But Blizzard is in California, and there's better weather there, so, I dunno.

Ooh! An armor plated dirigible for me, thank you. Along with my own satellite network, and a few small jets that can be stored inside. And my own airway access, which I can use to override other people in most cases.

Don't forget the deployable elevator and interior mansion, either.

I'd want to live in the City of Chicago, as I do now. I'd want to have a nice big house, though, 2 stories, plus attic plus basement. Guest bedrooms, of course. I'd like it to be a reasonable distance from not only my work but also from anything else i would want regularly (ie, panda express)

I understand if you have a large family, then a big house is needed, but if I was living by myself, I would want a relatively small and comfy house. I imagine living in a large house all by yourself must feel utterly lonely. So much space yet so little content, kinda depressing :(. But thats just me of course.

A private Island of the Caost of St. Petersburg. It would have a looming Citadel, black of course. I would have a private Airstrip for my private, super-sonic jet. I would be big enough to have all my friends and family there at once, but I would live by myself most of the time. Oh and I'd have a butler. His name shall be Jeeves.

Anyway, my dreamhouse is going to be a massive 1 km deep bunker. I'm not yet sure if I'm going to have it look pristine or more derelict for a gloomy feeling. It will atleast have some labs, tons of computers, a geothermal plant for electricity, possible some nuclear reactors and ofc the most badassed security ever, such as huge blast doors, sections that can be depressurized at will, neurotoxin, those machinegunturrets you see in every game.
It's a tad unrealistic isn't? It's also hard to dig a 1 KM deep hole where I live now, it will flood like right away.

Which hotel did you stay in? I stayed in the Austin Waikiki (I think that's the name). By the looks of it, it might be the hotel directly to the right of yours. Which would mean you stayed in the Marriott?
