Well, it's been a couple days since the fourth season of the Arena has started and I was just wondering how everybody is doing. What have you guys got so far in terms of gear (if you play pvp) and what are you doing different this time around?
I myself got the neck and belt so far and will probably start farming for some S2 pieces to replace the three pieces of S1 I still have. Also started a new ShS Rogue / MM Hunter / Resto Druid 3's so we'll see how that goes...
I really dislike the look of S4, nearly every classes looks the same.
Also whats with the green?
Im thinking of farming a few S2 (to cover missing S3), also get back into the arena with some mates.
Now its even easier to get into kara!

I haven't done a single arena since release and I'm still sitting at 1 pc S4 just because I had the point so I figured why not.
I've been told ratings, as usual, are fucked up and its impossible to get above 1700 because that's where all the 2k+ teams from last season are at. I figure I'll give people time to get their ratings sorted out before I go for any other pieces.

I'm still trying to get my theoretical Rogue build to work.
Basically, I've got two Night Blades (daggers). They can stack up to three times to give up to 1200 armor reduction. I want to put Executioner on each of them, giving them a potential 2000 armor reduction. I have the hemo precursor that gives a ~500 armor reduction.
Then I'd like to get the MGT boots, and the H MGT shoulders. After that, a badge chest would be awesome. Then either the Warp Spring Coil or the Dragonspine Trophy would be good. Obviously my goal is to get around 4000 armor reduction, so that basically anything in mail or worse will be my bitch. Unfortunately that means I'm stuck with daggers, and frankly daggers are not great performers. Nothing like poking people for 200 white dmg.
wow. -4000 armor would knock me down to 0 (-300) or so i think in caster form.
rawr.
i've thought about arena, but as a feral unless I want to devout a ton of time and learning skills to play a druid well in arena, I'd have to go resto. and the truth is that I'm not that interested. go resto, get resto gear, then farm more to get the feral gear, then respec to feral and die because of the months I played as a resto :O

rofl genocide... try looking for your expose armor key next time, ur armor pen setup is retarded.
To GenocideAlive: Executioner doesn't stack with itself. It only refreshes. Mongoose, however, does stack with itself, allowing both procs to be up at once.
In addition, If you're using dual daggers with armor ignore, you're not going to benefit as highly if you used Swords or Maces, due to the MUCH higher damage on them to take advantage of the increased damage. Daggers are quick, yes, but when you're plucking with no burst, it's easy to heal through. Ignore armor works much better with the previously mentioned in part due to high chance of burst (Mace Stun prevents dodge / parry / block, in addition to holding them still, Sword proc gives another attack right on top, versus daggers which is just crit, and nothing more - Which is also nerfed by Resilience).
The only dagger spec that I really get scared of on any of my characters is a Mutilate spec. It has decent damage behind it, and every time you use a finisher, you get 10% increased damage boost to specials (Not quite sure of actual melee). That, combined with a constant poison ticking away, as well as crippling slowing them down give a rough combination to work around for some classes (Especially non-druid healers). If the poison doesn't come off, the class takes 50% less healing or a huge DOT tick in addition to being slowed. If the poison does come off, the class that's depoisoning isn't healing.
My two cents to possibly help with little tidbits.

Dear Dipshit McFuckstick, I have Improved Exposed Armor, so when I get 4k armor reduction, I can then turn around and USE Expose Armor to add another 3k to that and make for a grand total of -7k armor. This way, if you're a leather wearer, I don't have to worry about wasting my Combo Points trying to throw up more armor reduction, and if you're a mail wearer, I can still remove that oh-so-important last bit of armor for the added bonus damage. As I'm sure you don't know, armor reduction is not linear.
And I'm well aware that Executioner doesn't stack, but improved Executioner uptime is essential. No sense in trying to bust out the burst damage if I have to wait for my Executioner to proc. I was also Mutilate Spec'd, so I have basically the best burst damage that Rogue has to offer, with +20% damage added then +20% to crit and +9% from Imp. Kidney Shot. And no, most intelligent Mutilate players do not put Deadly Poison on their blades, due to the fact that Deadly Poison breaks Gouge. Typically Wound Poison and Crip are the weapons of choice, so that not only is their healing largely worthless, but you can also outmaneuver them to maintain superior positioning.
Anyway, I've switched to swords (Blinkstrike and Merci Glad Quickblade) so I can wear normal DPS eq until I can start farming for armor reduction. It's helped my raid DPS a lot, though my PvP has largely remained the same since I'm now better at fighting Warriors and worse at fighting mages.

The new sets look stupid.
to recap.
s4 armor sets look like crap, considering how long blizzard had to come up with them.
GA is trying something new that Sambo thinks is crap.
and druids aren't viable unless you spec resto.
