Didn't see these on SC.org, but SC source has 'em. Check 'em out:
Good pics of swarm guardian, nullifiers (using force field in one), the new viking redesign (banshee seems a bit different too), different looking overseers, the medivac, sunken and spore colonies, new missile turrets, a new protoss building....

Those are pretty nice pictures.
I'm just wondering two things here. First, from the 115 screenshot it appears that the colossuses (colossi?) are able to go in the water. And I'm also perplexed about the weird crystal-like building the protoss have in the last screenshot. It kind of looks like a stasis field, but there are no units in it that I can see.
On a side note, lol, the corruptors are corrupting the zerg buildings.

I'm almost positive it's the nullifier force field ability. And in the colossi pic, the water there is shallow water, so I think any unit could walk in it like in WC3 (also an immortal is partway into it). Of course, it might just be shallow around the edges (also like in WC3), the middle looks pretty deep.

I'm just wondering two things here. First, from the 115 screenshot it appears that the colossuses (colossi?) are able to go in the water. was thinking that myself. I'm going with the "its shallow water" theory, and given that collossi can walk on tiers of terrain, im glad they made it this way. it makes logical sense. And I'm also perplexed about the weird crystal-like building the protoss have in the last screenshot. It kind of looks like a stasis field, but there are no units in it that I can see. That is 100% for sure the force field of the nullifier.
On a side note, lol, the corruptors are corrupting the zerg buildings.
Something that's still being discussed, but the official answer is "no, not at this time" they cannot infest zerg buildings. Might have just been some sort of attack on something.

Looks awesome. I love the way the Zerg are turning out, and the Viking looks pretty good now. (Although I liked it before, too...)
EDIT: Whoops. Said Thor instead of Viking.

I've very pleased with how these look. Based on the older pics, I was worried about the Creep, but it seems to do the trick just fine. I can't wait to see how the graphics look once they've been touched up, and Blizz isn't focusing on balance quite so much).

I think that it might be a Templar Archive revamp. It's the most close looking that I could recall of. :)

I dont know off the top of my head, but I assume it is a tech building for either high templar, immortals, observers, or something of that nature

Can anyone find any broodlings in any of these pictures? 'Cause swarm guardians are supposed to spawn broodlings, right?
Heh, yeah, the avatar is actually an animated gif I made, but it's too big for most sites unfortunately.

Also, in this screenshot, why is the center immortal blurry? It's not his shield, other ones have shields and aren't blurry. And there's a couple of blurry circles above him too. And what are the black dots around him? Is it the force field being cast or something?
Protogod
06-29-2008, 2:09 PM
The black dots are rubble from some kind of explosion. And yes, the blur is from his shields. As is the answer to alot of questions about screenshots, it's just the angle. The shields get blurry where they get shot, especially with the attack/explosion animation being on top of the blur, so it gets messy sometimes. The other blur is just the other immortal's shield reacting similarly at a different angle. It's blue because it looks like their being shot by other immortals or cannons, if i remember the full picture correctly.

What's with the Terran Hum-vee vehicle in the first Screenshot?
I haven't seen it before.
On a side note; I hope they make it so that the Creep assimilates terrain (like foliage, cliffs and ruins) instead of just going around it/magically appearing on the other side.

We've known about this for months. It's called the Jackal. It is replacing the Cobra, and it has a line-of-splash-damage flamethrower attack.
What about the two spheres above/behind the immortal?
In one it seems to have a 'Toss green blade of some sort. So perhaps it's a cloaked unit being hit while leaving that field.

This has been addressed quite some time ago and to be honest I think it might be more lore correct for that to happen than not to. It slightly reminds me of the Undead creep in WC3-TFT, which made a similar effect even after removing it from the ground. It fitted more the lore since the Undead corrupted everything they laid their hands on and since the Zerg carry out a similar standpoint in the SC universe...

It's the Twilight Council. It's basically the Dark Templar version of the Templar Archives.
Now if anybody could tell me what that flying centipede thingy is, I'd be eternally grateful. My best guess says it's the Swarm guardian. Yay :D:D:D

Actually, I dont believe it is. The viking can be seen in both forms here: http://www.starcraft-source.com/images/media/screenshots/high-res/115.jpg
I believe what we are seeing is a wholly new unit!

Sunken colonies look retarded, IMO.

Thats because they arent sunken colonies?

Probably the new Zerg defensive buildings. Creep tumors or something.
Protogod
07-10-2008, 11:56 PM
I dont remember 100% what those images are of, but Sunken Colonies no longer exist. Instead, we now have "spine crawlers" which are alot more lean/petite. Very spider-like.
masterofhobbiton
07-11-2008, 1:06 AM
Yes, those are spine crawlers.
KillerKow
07-11-2008, 7:51 PM
I've seen spine crawlers, they're way different than that. Perhaps those were sunken colonies when they did exist?
masterofhobbiton
07-11-2008, 9:56 PM
No, they're the same. The reason they look different is because normally you see them with their long tentacle arching over them, but these ones are attacking so the tentacle is in the ground. Also, the screens were from WWI, and WWI's where spine crawlers were unveiled, so they wouldn't be sunkens.
Protogod

For the record, spine crawlers were announced some weeks before WWI.
masterofhobbiton

That's why I said unveiled, not announced, I meant when we first got to see what they looked like. :P
