I've seen this in many games, how do you get leaderboards to switch, like say for 2 seconds it's Kills, then 2 seconds it's Custom, and keep doing that?

Help!

it should be simple... just use switches...:

let's say you have 3 leaderboards.

Beginning of the game you do a trigger like this:

1st Trigger
[
CONDITION:
Always

ACTION:
Set Switch1
Clear Switch2
Clear Switch3
]

2nd Trigger
[
CONDITION:
Switch1 is Set

ACTION:
Show Leaderboard1
Wait 2000 Milliseconds
Clear Switch1
Set Switch2
Preserve Trigger
]

3rd Trigger
[
CONDITION:
Switch2 is set

ACTIOM:
Show Leaderboard2
Wait 2000 Milliseconds
Clear Switch2
Set Switch3
Preserve Trigger
]

4th Trigger
[
CONDITION:
Switch3 is set

ACTION:
Show Leaderboard3
Wait 2000 Milliseconds
Clear Switch3
Set Switch1
Preserve Trigger
]

This way you have a redundant trigger... hope it helps

But when i do that wouldn't the, say custom reset itself?

And can i have 2 Custom leaderboards running at once?

leaderboards are just POINTERS to the whole scoring system:

The customs, scores, etc... will be unaltered, because what leaderboards do, is just show the values stored in the scores' variables.

about 2 leaderboards running at once, I have absolutely no Idea, I didnt test those triggers, and I never had more than 1 leaderboard... you could just try them yourself ;)

Or you could make a trigger that goes like this:

Always

Create Leaderboard for 'kills'
Wait 2000 milliseconds
Create Leaderboard for 'custom'
Preserve Trigger.

well, I supposed that 2 leaderboards could be displayed on screen... btw, you forgot another waiting time :D

Always

Create Leaderboard for 'kills'
Wait 2000 milliseconds
Create Leaderboard for 'custom'
Wait 2000 milliseconds
Preserve Trigger.

so, let's say, you do a show leaderboard for kills trigger, then you do one for customs... the customs leaderboard will replace the kills' one? If so, then your trigger is FTW (ONE trigger... to rule 'em ALL!!!) :D

Don't forget to use the death counters. :)

Why would you need to use death counters for this type of trigger?

You could use death counters instead of the wait action if you wanted too, but it's a bit more complex, in my opinion.

So you do not get wait blocks thats why.
