Hello fellow StarCraft players. I've been digging around the interwebs for SC Beta's for a while now, and sumbled on these forums. There seems to be alot of (realy) old threads about StarCraft & BroodWar betas here. I've been decoding their MPQ's (almost finished) and learning some neat stuff about StarCraft before it was released. Some of you said that you had the original CDs and/or patches from the beta test. If you are reading this or still around here, I would realy like to talk to you about it. I have both betas, but I would like to get my hands on a proper bin/cue dump of both CD's, as well as their patches. I would appreciate your help :)

By the way, some of you may know me from elsewhere,
Hi U-238 :P

there already is a working sc-beta out, and it even has a multiplayer online feature unless I'm mistaken. That happened maybe 2 years ago or so, so without a doubt people have lost their interest. I still remember several features in beta such as:
queens had an attack, carriers 10 interceptors, etcetc

Yes, im well aware of that, BUT noone ever released the patches :concern:, so playing SC beta online would desync you in a matter of minutes. Also I have other reasons in mind than just playing it.

i dont think the online version was on b.net or anything, but something else. Not sure, never tried it, never interested enough

I used to have the ISO of it but lost it some time ago. It might still be on one of my old, dying harddrives but the chances of that are rare and the chances of recovering it are even rarer.

I know k'tan /might/ still have a copy of it being he offered it a while back but I doubt it can be found anywhere online except for /maybe/ a stray torrent floating around.

Hi U-238 :P

Do I know you? >.>

I never offered one (:P), but SC.org did have an article about it

Nah I have iso's, what I'm looking for is a proper bin/cue dump of the disks and the patches for the game.

Do I know you? >.>
Remember that StarCraft FPS project we wanted to do ;)

Why would you want that? You can mount the iso with daemon tools.

I had assumed you downloaded it and had offered an ul link here:

There are no proper dumps to my knowledge. Just ISOs.

bin/cue dumps have extra information in them that iso's don't carry.

I can't be certain, but I think I meant 'if anyone wants a thread as a sticky' as opposed to 'if anyone wants the Iso. Sorry for any ambiguity, but I never had an ISO of the SC Beta.

They were old threads here, but o well, this was worth a shot. Also U-238 put it quiet nicely why I wanted bin/cue dumps, for their integrity.
