Channel Bots...

Hey, another question for you all! :-)

I want to get a bot for our clan's channel. I want it to have stuff that greets people, can ban people, and other gizmos:P

Anyone know where i can find one? Thanks.

And also, i got greetbot from SC.org but i dono how to use it. Once i click on the exe a big black screen just appears with a blinking cursor.

Stealthbot is the one most people use.You have to tweak it a bit but,it works great.Plus if you like modding things they say you are free to mod it.(I modded mine alot)

stealthbot.net You're going to also need either a Diablo or Warcraft CD Key, because starcraft keys don't work on it. :concern:

No bots are going to work on Starcraft with their latest implementation of Warden. Just pray that someone gives you a D2 key, because Warcraft bots are notoriously difficult to get Ops with.

Yeah.... You have to put in the key when you name your bot and give it a password.

A key is a key. There are lots of people on Battle.Net who don't need their keys anymore, myself included. I'd give you my other one, but I don't have it at hand, and won't for another two weeks at best.

No bots are going to work on Starcraft with their latest implementation of Warden. Just pray that someone gives you a D2 key, because Warcraft bots are notoriously difficult to get Ops with.
MAybe wc 1 yeah because it doesn't have a b.net edition.
But wc2 and wc3 are as easy as d2 to give ops to.Wc3 is meant to have ops btw.

i'd vote for stealthbot, i think thats what it's called.

i'd really vote for ultimatebot, that thing was the bomb back when i was like 12 or 13. heh.

then blizzard banned chat bots from normal channels :(

these things don't work anymore, the only bot currently viable for private channel op-holding and such (or clan channels and the like) is, to my knowledge, stealthbot.

the other bots, most are based on the basic chat stuff, no longer work properly and/or have been restricted by blizzard to only join the public chat channels or whatever they are called.

it's not as easy as it used to be to get an op bot sitting around.
